It's so fascinating to see how much more affectionate big cat fathers are in captivity vs. the wild when they're having to expend so much more energy on survival.

I’m sure Bears would do the same thing in this setting. They know the kids are theirs. There’s no need to kill for competition. I’m sure it happens to the wild too. You just don’t see it that often.

Aaahh Gosh! My heart has just melted. It was all so lovely and the 2 scenes of giant Daddy lions licking and cuddling their cubs is so, so special. Its rare to see that in the wild as the males arent too keen on doing that. I guess taking them from the wild to sanctuaries where they will never starve and have regular food, it brings out the softer side of these great cats.

So is the tiger. Normally the tiger leaves the family. But he takes care of the young ones in the absence of mother.

Also I wonder if the lion only has one lioness will he remain faithful to that one and to his cub since they live in that sanctuary?

@@mauriceglass2854 Well Maurice, i guess that a male lion finds it hard to be faithful to one lioness. Especially since they dont get told off if they try that, not like us! Being in a sanctuary and living wild can make these beauty giant cats act differently maybe a little. So glad you are interested in them. Ive loved lions my entire life and i watch lion videos every day, thanks.

The hippos were funny 😂 I like when, at the end, the baby hops on the Pop's back, and they sink down into the water. The tiger and lion dads show they are enamored with their children, showing affection and play loving with them, the constant bonding.

Such beautiful animals. Lions, tigers and hippos are some of my favorite animals. It's awesome seeing the fathers spending quality time with their youngsters. God bless all of them. ❤😘

People have no idea how much animal fathers love and do for their babies. From elephants to hippos to wolves to birds and many others.

Yes they can recognize their kids through their pheromones, as they recognize ones gender from smelling ones urine, like wise

Father tiger is rough tho

I would be extremely shocked if that adult hippo was male. In captivity, once there is a baby, the parents are separated as the fathers will harm the baby if given half a chance. Mother hippos vigilantly keep their babies away from bull hippos.

I don’t know where this place is but the animals look healthy, well fed, and content! Just because you call it a Zoo or Sanctuary doesn’t mean it is! There are a lot of bootleg “Zoos and Sanctuary” out there and they aren’t good! So far I like what I see! They say white tigers and lions (both parents must carry the recessive gene) are so rare that’s why you only see them in captivity! Unfortunately there are more tigers and lions in captivity than in the wild! They were here first!
