You started tearing up early in the video so, of course so did I and I never stopped until you signed off! Note: The situation in Iran is even more complicated because if the Iranian authorities release Narges Mohammadi, she has told them she has no plans of ever leaving Iran. We should thank the Nobel Peace Prize Committee for recognizing Narges Mohammadi and her efforts. Perhaps a compromise of sorts can be worked out so she can be released. Remaining in prison, don't the Iranian authorities realize her voice is being heard even more because of her imprisonment? Angelina's performance? Is there anyone else on the planet who could do what she did? No. That was PERFECTION!

I A express my feelings enough for this stellar performance! This song was sung by the Righteous Brothers many years ago and was my all time favourite song. Angelina came right into my heart with this beautiful rendition! THIS is now my all time favourite song by Angelina! I love her voice so much! She slowed the song down and made this her own! She is the beautiful young and unique singer who has already sung on 2 different occasions at the Nobel Peace Prize award ceremony, at just 17 years old! Her ability to move those who listen to her is absolutely incredible. What a sweet, fascinating and intimate interpretation of this mythical song, absolutely suitable for the occasion of the tribute to Narges Mohammadi! I was moved to see and hear Angelina singing in such an incredibly mature and charming way, this wonderful version of a fantastic song and so appropriate to the occasion, 7 years after the last time, in the same studios and with some of the musicians who accompanied her as a child, when she took her first steps into her musical future. Thanks for your heartfelt reaction. For anyone that didn't keep up with the descriptions: When Angelina is singing over the introduction to this video it might be hard to follow all of the captions. This is why she sang in such a restrained tone. From the committee's press release: "The Norwegian Nobel Committee has decided to award the Nobel Peace Prize for 2023 to Narges Mohammadi for her fight against the oppression of women in Iran and her fight to promote human rights and freedom for all. Her brave struggle has come with tremendous personal costs. Altogether, the regime has arrested her 13 times, convicted her five times, and sentenced her to a total of 31 years in prison and 154 lashes. Ms. Mohammadi is still in prison." What makes this song so meaningful is, Unchained Melody was written about a prisoner longing to be reunited with a loved one. And her husband and children were there to receive the honor on her behalf.

Bobby Hadfield's rendition has always been considered 'The Gold Standard' for 'Unchained' and deservedly so. But here, Angelina brings forth more emotion laden penetration than Bobby and simply reaches me internally in a way he didn't.

I am so grateful that you chose to react to this magnificent video by James, which so beautifully portrays the critically important background to what is unquestionably one of Angelina's most brilliant performances to date. So many reactors defend their propensity to just "dive right in" to a performance, suggesting that prior research may produce bias that would diminish the authenticity of their reaction. In Angelina's case, however, her ability to wring every iota of emotion from a song and deliver that emotion straight to our hearts, is one of the most breathtaking features of her astounding talent. This was so even when she was a very young child, at an age when it was impossible for her to have had the life experiences normally required to feel, and evoke, the emotions appropriate to a particular song. Thus, one can only fully appreciate her soul-stirring interpretation of a song, from the emotional standpoint, if one understands the meaning and intent behind the song. Thanks for a wonderful reaction.

Angelina inspires me to do what I can to help make the world a better place, so I am asking all angels and others to spread the story of Narges Mohammadi. Angelina was recorded here in December 2023 at the Nobel Peace prize ceremony in Oslo Norway, performing this beautiful version of Unchained Melody. She paid tribute to Narges, who is currently on a hunger strike while imprisoned in Iran, for being an activist for women's rights. Her two twin children, who are 17, spoke on her behalf at this event. The more people who are aware and call for change, the more likely the leaders of Iran will set her free. Acts of kindness are inspirational, as Angelina always reminds us. We angels, and all others must honor Angelina, and those who represent our values, by doing all we can to help, and be kind to others. Even the smallest gestures can make a difference. Thank you so much for showing the full lead-in for this performance and how it is not just someone singing a song for an audience. This is a seriously important event and imagine travelling from the USA, doing a rehearsal or two and then performing an extremely difficult song on a worldwide stage in front of a live audience of dignitaries from around the world without any lip-syncing or auto anything. AND SHE DOES IT TO PERFECTION. WOW. Your emotions to this are like a flu and are highly CONTAGIOUS. You had me wiping my eyes throughout the performance. Of all the covers of Unchained Melody I've ever heard Bobby Hatfield and Angelina Jordan really understood what every word and every note in that song meant and they put that into their version, it really never heard anyone say that they didn't like it from one or the other singer. I was grown adult when Bobby passed away and it was the first time I cried for any performer, I remember feeling a loss I'd never felt until my father passed, strange, isn't it.
