The challenge as Roman Catholics is that the Bible is not read at individual level. Fr Raphael in one of his homilies remarked that it would be a miracle to see a Catholic carry a Bible to church. In a congregregation of about 500, only two had a bible. The result is that they wait for the priest to interpret the scriptures rather than engage in novenas and other petitions to the Holy Spirit for guidance;may it be remembered that we shall stand individually before the King of Kings on judgement day. After all,our baptism vows were made per person to Him.The replies that have come from three or so people:'Blind believer;does the Holy Spirit talk to you?you protestant( whatever this means)etc' do not help at all, let us quote the scriptures instead of making sweeping statements. For example,I quoted Daniel chapter five on the sacredness of items dedicated for God's service. Instead of derogatory language (if one must use it, I don't mind, that's the price for evangelising) let's quote the scriptures so as to educate one another.

Who said they dont use scripts si mtu aongee vyenye anajua tena ukimbemba bible ndio utajua huyo mtu ameokoka or ameshika neno and some who carry the bible is just for show off kwa roho ni shetani plz dont judge ww soma kwenye bible hubebwa wachana na Catholics hukumu ni mbiguni

Catholics read the Bible..no Mass or service or ceremony is conducted without reading 3 to 4 different books of the Bible.... all related...nobody is barred from following what is being read using his/her Bible... nobody is barred from carrying his/her Bible anywhere, not to read, nor to preach using it... every local church is divided into 3 or more Small Christian Communities (SCCs) that meet every week (not on Sunday - most between Tuesday and Friday.. whichever they deem fit) for prayers in one of the SCC members home (it's rotational) where reading the Bible, sharing and discussing church matters and even projects is done... different groups (Women...CWA Catholic Women Association, CMA.. Catholic Men's Association, CA.. Comprises of both Men and Women, Youth, Young Parents, PMC... different stages of Childhood (groups of children at different age groups), Choir etc meet at least once a week for prayers and reading the Bible, sharing and discussing projects and different groups of people at certain stages in the life of the church meet for catechism lessons where the Bible is read, shared and prayers done...etc... Just give yourself 1 month and attend the Catholic Church near you and be accompanied by your friend in that local area who is a Catholic and visit those groups as you hear and learn and participate, plus go with him/her to church on the 4/5 Sundays of that month ... you'll debunk that notion by the end of that month...don't attempt to convert since your mission will be to discover/research That's why a meme goes round..."I like Catholics, they go to church, eat their sacrament, go fo confession, dance liturgical dances, sit, stand etc as directed and go home/in the community without caring what others say about them, they'll never argue with you about their church and 90% will not participate in such arguments or defending themselves/church but tell you to go and experience and know better before attacking"... ask that friend of yours all the possible questions as you accompany him/her ...there's a lot that I haven't told you but requires you to attend/get interested in the church for like 5 years straight to get them/it... I'll tell you the same (as that meme)...nothing is hidden

@@janetmwangi7927 God already revealed Himself through His Son Jesus. Christ is described as the Word of God in John 1:1. In the sacrament of baptism we are made priests, prophets and sons of God's Kingdom. When therefore we point out an anomaly,it is not judging but reminding and repeating God's Word as part of our prieastly duties of preaching The present case is one of using sacred garments while singing secular music. Things dedicated to God are holy as shown in the Book of Daniel chapter 5 . King Belteshazzir was partying with his ministers and concubines. He then ordered that the golden and silver cups taken from the temple in Jerusalem during the invasion by his father Nebuchanezzar be brought out so they could drink from them. In verse 25 the finger of God wrote on the wall 'mene mene tekel upharsin'. The interpretation was that the King had been tested and found wanting. He was thereafter dethroned. As priests though not ministerial, this is the message we ought to remind one another with humbleness and love:....that items dedicated to God are sacred and must be handled with respect.
