I've been a fan of Speed and Sound since I was a little boy,going to friends houses and swapping books and just talking about our dream cars and having fun, now I'm 26 and I have a good collection of speed and sound magazines and just opening that bag I have them stored in brings me back to when I was still younger. Actually a bit disappointing. As an ' Old Toppie ' I built a 350 Small Block Chevy into my Short wheelbase Ford Courier with a 3 speed F100 box and a 9 inch rear end with limited slip 2.72 ratio. No Forged rods or pistons and no Turbos either . Tyres at rear were 295/16's and most souls at our little town knew this Toppie. I never needed nor used water to get back wheels burning rubber and 'unintentionally' painted twin black lines on local street measuring 70 meters long after stripping my m . . r at one time. Cops didn't like me but I didn't care and a lot of guys will remember me when Poison Rally still came to our little town where locals asked to show off and got the OK from the organizers. Sold the Courier but kept the running gear and currently busy with V8 conversions in my Jeep and possibly in my 69 Mk 1 Escort . Turning 70 soon so will see if I can still make some Donuts.
