Fatality After Scion xB Rear Ends Semi At High Speeds | COVINA, CA 6.6.22

‪@randysr18‬ COVINA, CALIFORNIA - CHP and LACoFD responded to a traffic collision involving a vehicle and a semi eastbound 10 freeway just before Via Verde exit. Once firefighters and officers arrived they located a Scion with one person trapped inside the vehicle and a semi truck parked about 100 yards ahead of the crash. Firefighters pronounce the driver that was trapped dead on scene. Unknown if alcohol or drugs were a factor in the crash. CHP as all lanes stopped. A Sig Alert was issued for an unknown time for the eastbound 10 freeway.

some trucking companies won't hire a driver that has been involved in a fatal crash, even if it was not the trucks fault in anyway. According to the numbers, a driver who has been in one fatal crash has a higher chance to get into another one and it just makes the company look bad that they hired someone that had already been in a fatal crash. It's the same for homeowners insurance- "have you had any claims in the past 5 years?" yes- we had that hail and high wind damage 4 years ago---now you won't get the claims free discount---even though its a non-chargeable claim..

Had it had the minimal under ride bar at the back end, that putrid Ski-on would have gone under the truck. Imagine the fire then! So important to drive like your life depends on it. Here is a case when someone doesn't follow that advice. Drive slower and arrive. Getting there fast sometimes you will end up "late".

ALL preventable when Application of prayer unto YAHOVAH the LORD GOD herself is applied to 1. You, 2. Your family, 3. Your vehicle type and mechanical soundness to allow any to drive safely, 4. Other vehicles and drivers and their families, 5. Situation awareness requirement always including both L, and P plate drivers and first 5 years, 6.
