It is crazy how the human mind works. Even tho we know DS only procs 40% of the time at lv5, when it doesnt save us from carting once, we immediately call it trash, ignoring how it saves us many times before that.

Bro for me even at level 5 it's never saved me from something actually life threatening, it always procs on minor damage. Imo the only defensive skills i need are health boost and max stun resist those 2 prevent being caught in a combo and being unable to move.
now he needs to fight arch tempered velkhana. what I consider to be the hardest monster in the game.

48 minutes in a row of Tree absolutely malding, blissful
Dying secondes after cutscene is crazy
48 mins of wildfire..
The Divine Blessing struggle continues... lol Love it.
Thing with Fatalis is that his hitbox isn't really bad, it's mainly "deceiving", some hitboxes are questionable but even as the "last boss", he's easily in my top 3 monsters to fight in all the series. Anyway, congratulations Tree on finally finishing your first monster hunter tutorial! *Small note: Superman diving needs a small startup.*

the most questionable hitbox on fatalis is the air under his elbow knocking you down during the body slam tbh
When proof of a hero kicks in, I started to sweat even though I was only watching. So fricking tense!
39:06-39:24 dude, i laughed so hard at that part, I even felt bad for finding it funny :D
Currently my fav content creator, love the little tree in the corner yapping
Congrats on the kill, when Fatalis came out it took me like 8 hours to kill him even with the best possible build and over a thousand hours in the game. I eventually fought him multiple times with every weapon and I can confidently say that Charge Blade is one of the harder match ups. You still need to do Arch Tempered Velkhana tho, she humbled some people after they defeated Fatalis lol
LETS GOOO Hope we see AT Velkhana next 😂 imo the most difficult fight in the game. Also thank you for including the tiny bit of armor reaction at the end lol
Divine blessing is like friends It's easier to notice their absence than appreciating their presence Feel me?
Congrats! That was only the tutorial quest though. Now you have to do it o the Event Quest with 3 lives (if you want the amour).
tree 😂 you have such a smooth brain, proud of how far you’ve come honestly
HAHA Thats how you fricking do it! Congrats on overcoming such a challenge.. took me like a month and I still need like two evil eyes to complete my armour set. Im happy to have watched your journey. Such an adventure.. so much fun. To see you struggle where I once stood. wish i couldve seen it all live.. but where I live you streamed at 3am.. Anyways.. a bit of an advice.. DB is great for Fatalis IF you break the head. if not I agree with you. Oh and you noticed those ruined pillars all over the arena.. thats another way to dodge the cone flame. not the flying flame of doom, the cone flame. Ill love to see what your next project will be.. until then Tree
Thanks for the upload

Monster Hunter World is a great game
Amazing!! Reminds me of how it took me THREE WEEKS to take him down completely solo. Just like you did. Congratulations..!!
We believe the proof of a Tree theme song 🌲💪🏼
Fatalis is my favorite fight. I'm really good at the game and my 1st kill still took me like 3 hours. My 1st kill I got him with like 2 minutes left. Now I can cut that time in half. I can kill him in a little over 15 minutes. Beating him for the first time is a crazy adrenaline rush. One of my favorite moments I've ever had gaming. Also you are crazy for your opinion on divine blessing. Is it necessary? No, but trust me. It is REALLY helpful. Especially once you make all the Fatalis armor. It has so many slots that there is basically no reason not to run it. I have Db5 on most of my builds and I still have room for ALL of the attacking skills I need. Tenderize 3, crit boost 3, agitator 7, crit eye 7, attack boost 4. With some room left over for other skills too. Fatalis armor really is that broken. Divine blessing 5 procs WAAY more than you were giving it credit for. You just weren't noticing when it was happening because of your tunnel vision. For an experienced player that doesn't get hit as much. Divine blessing serves another purpose. Because health augment is so strong. When I do get hit I take less damage because of Db and can just heal all my health back with health augment. Not having to stop to heal really cuts down on how long hunts take. I don't even use health potions anymore, I just bring max potions and I have the ingredients to quick craft them in my inventory. So if I use both of them I can just craft more instantly. Having to chug potions just takes too long when you are trying to Speedrun monsters. Also It requires a little bit of farming, but I highly recommend farming whetfish. There is an event quest I think where you have to fish for them and you can easily farm up a bunch from it. Whetfish are an item that acts like the whetstone but it only takes 1 pass to sharpen. No need to have to sit there and be vulnerable sharpening normally. It's also way more efficient than running speed sharpening. As obviously it's just an item and can free up skill slots. I forget the armor but you can run the set bonus that increases rewards at the end of quests. You can also eat for lucky cat to increase quest rewards when farming for whetfish to speed up the process farming them. Trust me once you got a taste of the whetfishussy you can never go back.
Holy shiat, Fatalis? Those hits were wild
I don’t even understand how he made progress he didn’t even break ANY part and seemed to be doing bad until the end of his attempts.
Congratulations on Finishing Fatalis, but your DB Slander is off the charts Divine Blessing stops you from dying, thats how it is, it doesnt make you Dodge better, thats a skill issue and lack of Evade Skills, if a monster starts 1-shotting you from full health, Divine Blessing makes it so you dont, cause even if it puts you at 10% hp, its better than eating a cart and failing the quest, you can break horn at 2nd phase and never get one-shot at all even, remember you keep tanking hits, either way divine blessing helps you, you just dont feel it cause you only look at it when you actually die, terrible mindset on DB, dont use it at all, it wont make sense if your mental is bad when you use it.
Wish I could have caught the last couple streams. Hope I can be there in the future
it makes me angry watching this gameplayXD
Yeees! Ive been waiting for this!
I was there... where we all saw the Proof of the Tree.
Its been crazy seeing him get here from day one
With this knowledge of siege weapons in this game I am surprised he made it past Zorah. Have zo go back and watch that video again
😅 Well Fatalis has a lot of Mechanics. I killed 35 in Multiplayer and farmed his everything before I started to solo him, and it was still hard. Some of the things Chat didnt teach you/you havent found out, two Dragonpods stun him, thats usefull if he pins, or potencially does the Cone Breath. Cone is superman Divable but the Timing is tight. Rocks block it. And I think you can block it whit Lance. Oh and plz put Health Augments on your Weapon. And whit Guts you might just die of fireblight after landing on one health, ans the Gigantic Flame... Its easy to run behind him if you wont run directly towards him but slightly to the side.
Again... GUARD UP (SHIELD) Also... Cluth to it chest whenever you see it doing 360 spin
Level 3 partbrake and Level 5 Devin blessing will help you so much
Hi tree love your vids and lives keep it up
The second build looks IMMACULATE 👌 👌👌
nice congrats for the kill on fatalis i know u can do it
37:28 Let me complement that logic. The reason you could say that Divine Blessing is better for smaller attacks is that, contrary to one-shots, you'll eventually get hit much more, which in turn will increase the proc ratio of that skill just by virtue of being hit more. DB has 50% proc chance (60% for DB lvl 5), so in a one-shot situation, it's approx. half the chance to survive. In the worst case, you just die. Now, if you're getting hit with weaker attacks, you're getting effectively less damage overall during the hunt instead of being fucking dead half of the time, so you even consume less healing items. BUT HAVING SAID THAT, Divine Blessing saved my bacon so many times in one-shot scenarios that I can't live without it anymore. Also, just remember that not every attack is a one-shot, so there's still huge benefit to use it regardless.
Glad to be there on the streams!!! DIVINE BLESSING WORTHLESS
I loved the DB slander in this video But also ong the missed head opportunities /-\ Edit: Nice job tree :3
I'm with you on DB. You don't want to be relying on it for one-shots. It's a coin-flip every time, and you can get all tails. It's much better for med-high damage dealers when you first face them.
Technical he has 5 phase 😂
boi didnt go agaisnt arch tempered valkhana though

Info to everyone who's trying to beat Fatalis: First of all, learn superman jump properly. You just gotta be facing and running the opposite direction as the monster, use the sprint button + jump button. Spam the jump button lol. This will save you A LOT. As you saw, divine blessings will save you a lot when fighting Fatalis. If you're a soul like player, or are just good at dodging, run Evade Window 3 or 5, depending on your experience. Running Part Breaker is also useful, since you'll need to break his head at least once, but depends on the weapon you're using. Heavy weapons usually can break the head if you aim for it in phases one and two. Breaking the head will power down his last phase, and you can break it twice. For shield weapons USE GUARD UP. This will make you able to block flame attacks. Even the cone one. And the best part, if you block the cone, you can save teammates behind you. You can run heavy artillery on your mantles and use them when you hop on balista. You'll give him a lot of more damage, and if you hit 90% of the hits on tenderized chest, you make him fall, creating an amazing opening to head hits. Remember to keep him tenderized. Every moment he spill flames is a good moment to tenderize. When he has his 4 paws on the ground, use the clutch claw and stones to wall bang him. Will give him a lot of damage, and if you're running agitator, it will activate. Fatalis, at least the first time you beat him, is not a fight you fight the way you want, it's a fight you fight the way he lets you. You WILL get your ass whipped a lot, but take these moments to understand why you died. Was it greed? Was it because you didn't know that move? How does that move work? You'll get better every try, just like your body when working out, or your artistic skills as you practice. So, don't give up, hunter. Someday you'll be slaying Fatalis like you slay any other elder dragon. One last tip: with the amount of drops you'll get when failing, you'll be able to start building his set. If you have good decorations, you can change you current set for his. It's pretty strong.

As CB main, I don't use Divine Blessing until I have Fatalis full set armor. DB js not worth it unless you can get it to lv 5 (for that 40% procs). Or you can get the Golden Rathian arm. Ngl, Guard up (+ Guard lvl 3 and charged Shield) is way better than relying on DB. You can even survive the infamous cone attack. My tip is to play it safe with Evade Extender. However, I do not undermine the usefulness of DB as I'm running that mofo on my full set just for that "comfy tanky build." And I wholeheartedly agree with you, every try you will only get better. I've fought this Fatalis mofo so many times, I can practically read its movement and find the opening to use SAED or SA. And people, don't be ashamed to use the stationed weapon the game gives you. Use Heavy Artillery if you will, use everything at your disposal and use all the healings and mantle you have. A good hunter are those that win by outwitting, outsmarting, and outsourcing its prey. Not the one that kept its silly pride intact.

The problem I found with me is I had gotten so used to dodging in souls games that it took a really long time for me to break that habit and learn to block and guard point. Now I've reached fatalis and have to unlearn it and try to dodge him again xD. Would you recommend running guard up even in a no guard build where I only rely on evade extender and evade window?
@TheOverlordEND
Ай бұрын
@@user-eg7bi2ux4o I'm not sure, I usually use Guard up (+ Guard lvl 3 and Charged Shield = Lv 5 Guard) which is a 50% decrease in stamina reduction in guarding and massive knockback decrease. And I can block all Fatalis moves (except Pinning and Nova). So I do not think without any Guard lvl, Guard up would be worth it. Also, I much prefer Evade Extender than Windows. It really helps in escaping the Nova (especially 3rd, 4th, and 5th) by rolling.
Binged the entire playlist and i gotta say, you're one of my favourite channels on here now. A tier list ranking your favourite and least favourite monsters would be fun!

Use Lunatra gear you mantle just have 2.5 min to countdown
You can safely tenderize him when he doing breath attacks, or else he will body slam you Dragon pods him 2 times can flinch him, saving you or your teammates if he do the pinning move or stop him from rushing. Wouldn't recommend to use it when he do the cone breath, since he will lower his head leaving big opening and you want to break his head once before phase 3. Or spamming it and making the fight harder than it should be Practice superman dive, that will help a lot if you're far away from him while he using cone breath or saving you from his other attacks such as 360 degrees breath Make use of roamming ballista and 2 binders shot. Slot in heavy artillery decos for more dmg with siege weap, would recommend to slot it in temporal mantle. Though i wouldn't recommend to use the cannons at the start *in multiplayer*, since it will mess up the position and making the fight harder Fatalis will *always* focus on the person using siege weapons, take a note in that Use smoke bombs whenever he start to fly. Note that if you using smoke bomb right when he finished the attack animation, he will temporally goes into "looking for target" move while radar still having red outline, that will give you a small time to either do big attack or tenderize As for when he doing charge fireball attack, dodge into his crotch and you'll be safe. *Do not trying to tank it* Last but not least, Fatalis deal *raw* damage even with his fire breaths. High fire res won't help much here
