Fatal Injury Felony Hit and Run in Hollenbeck Division NR24165cm/dm

Los Angeles: On April 16, 2024 at approximately 8:00 p.m., a fatal traffic collision occurred involving a vehicle and a pedestrian. A vehicle traveling southbound on Mission Boulevard collided with victim Dorado crossing in an unmarked crosswalk. The driver fled the scene without stopping, rendering aid or identifying himself or herself. There is no description of the driver. After the collision, the driver continued southbound Mission Boulevard and made a right to 1st Street, and then another right on to Vignes Street. The vehicle continued and made a left turn on Commercial Street. Paramedics from the Los Angeles City Fire Department responded to the scene and victim Dorado was pronounced deceased.
The suspect vehicle is described as black Toyota Camry or Nissan Altima with black rims.

On April 15, 2015, the City Council amended the Los Angeles Administrative Code and created a Hit-and-Run Reward Program Trust Fund. A reward of up to $50,000 is available to community members that provide information leading to the offender’s identification, apprehension, and conviction or resolution through a civil compromise.
