Fat Acceptance Has Gone Too Far...
Fat Acceptance Is Going Too Far...
Today we talk about fat acceptance and why it is going to far. People in this fat acceptance movement are at a point where they are promoting unhealthy behavior and they are trying to make it seem like its perfectly normal to be extremely overweight.

@@Dolliv5 its... not a scenario? OP didnt ever think that someone would call someone debtphobic. They are trying to point out that using the word fatphobic is just as ridiculous as using the word debtphobic.
the original idea of “fat” acceptance was for people who were a little bit chubby, plus size maybe to not feel bad about having a HEALTHY body because there’s nothing wrong with being chubby and having a round belly, but the world used to (and kinda still does) make that seem like a big problem, causing perfectly healthy people to feel bad about themselves. But making dangerous levels of obesity “ok” because you have a hard time being healthy isn’t ok. Like most ideas in the world.. this one got turned into something it wasn’t originally ment to be.

When I was 230 ilbs I couldn’t touch my toes, I couldn’t go on a jog, I could barely even go on walks because I’d be sweating so bad I’d get mad. And that’s another thing. I was angry ALL the time. And I thought I was entitled to basically anything and everything. I complained constantly and was in pain ALL the time. I’m not even close to my weight goal (150 ilbs at 5 ft 3) but I feel so so so much better. I love running. I love going outside. They could save themselves from lots of health problem but they ruin there furture. Actually statistics prove poverty actually causes obesity because the affordable food is calorie dense but lacks nutritional value so people in poverty need to eat more to get what their body needs. People are too quick to jump to conclusions instead of actually researching the topic so it causes harmful misinformation to spread. What’s happening in the fat acceptance movement currently is an example of this. Especially when we also have to consider the psychology behind those people. And a shocking hypothesis that psychologists are thinking about is the frequent shaming and mocking of the previous generations that were overweight not only triggered eating disorders and trauma but also taught them to respond with the same socialisation they experienced but twisting the roles. I mean if you look at the stuff fat acceptance extremists say but flip the roles where is skinny people saying it to fat people you’ll see it’s actually really similar to bullying fat people experience. It’s kinda funny how it’s acceptable for fat people to experience this but when it’s skinny people it’s suddenly “humanity’s doomed” like many in the comments are saying. At the end of the day it’s not really about being lazy or greedy but it’s a symptom of any different conditions or situations.
Walle predicted where our world is going
As someone who was 180 lb at age 12, and is now 140 lb at age 15, i can say being fat is probably one of the worst things i’ve experienced during my short time here on earth. You feel hella insecure about yourself, constantly wear baggy clothing, and hate the way you look. Looking back, all i did was sit all day, play videogames, and munch on whatever i felt like. I changed my lifestyle for the better, started working out, going outside, ate more protein and less sugar, and i am still playing videogames lmao, but this is a message to never give up, you CAN change for the better if you put your mind to it. Consistency is key folks.

Well considering the majority of obese people actually struggle with eating disorders and poverty that cause the weight, you are wrong. No one’s body should be shamed.
Your brother already touched on this!
The lady with the complaint about airplane seats went further. She wanted hoteliers to remodel their hotels. Widen the doors, widen the CORRIDORS, widen the lifts. Countrywide that's hundreds of millions of dollars, because she thinks that a family KFC is a light lunch. She even tried to get someone fired because they didn't push her in a wheelchair up the boarding ramp to a plane.

I think if fat acceptance meant "don't harass/torment fat people in public just for being fat" I'd be all for it. What they call "fat acceptance" is actually enabling them in the same way the pro-anorexia and pro-bulimia movements are. But it's okay to admit and acknowledge that being morbidly obese isn't healthy. I mean, I'd date a guy that weighed 800 pounds but I'd want him to lose weight so he could live longer. You can be nice and kind to fat people and treat them with human dignity and respect without lying to them like they're too fragile to handle the truth. How you deliver the message is important as well.

Look at the bullying and harassment fat people face then look at the fat acceptance movement. It’s very clear that the fat acceptance is a response to the bullying and harassment that they faced so repeat what they were taught was normal.
If they can call us fatphobic because we are trying to live at least a somewhat healthy life, then we can call them healthyphobic.

my dad was fat but had a chance to change his life after he lost 90 pounds because of heart surgery and a year in the hospital and he took that chance and started going to the gym couldn't be more proud of him
As someone who is about 144.1 pounds I am working on getting to my normal weight, but, I am not going to say that I’m gonna accept that Im obese, IM GONNA WORK ON GETTING HEALTHIER so yeah, I’m fat phobic for wanting to lose weight 💀
To all people over 300 LBS :) Stop it, GeT SUm HeLP
the pendulum swings and it will swing back... you watch.
Im a fat guy, and people just accepting it that its good is the fucking stupidest thing ive ever heard. I hate being fat. But it is what it is for now. I go to the gym and im trying my best to loose this shit, but people just saying that "its okay to be fat" is fucking stupid. If your fat, try your best to change your diet and exercise, its gonna be hard as fuck but you can do it.

to complicate it, its definitely fine to be fat, even if you dont like it or not, but loving to be fat is signs you hate yourself.
In Brazil, we give these people the very affectionate nickname "Thais Carla" ❤️
It's just a bunch of insecure people (more women than men) trying to feel better about themselves by bashing the opposite side. Also note how a decent chunk of the supporters are only in on it for clout. 😴

Yep and it’s obviously a response to the bullying and harassment they experience. When you exclude and reject people they learn to resent and reject you back. They then begin to mimic the actions they experience.

This made me want to workout while watching
Just started the gym today so I guess I must be afraid of myself 🤷🤷
And here I thought I was getting heavier at 170lbs like, "Hm... maybe chill on the junk food." xD I used to be lighter but in the last year I've worked fast food. Enough said. But for those who are a bit on the heavy side, it's up to you on whether you want to change it or not. If your going to make a change, do it now otherwise you probably won't due to procrastination.
Preach! Being fat should not be glorified. So-called "fat acceptance" has gone too far, much like many other things in today's society.

The fat acceptance is a mirror image of what the bullying they grew up with. The thing is you can’t exactly blame them for doing what they have been taught to do by the media and society as a whole. Also people are actually very uninformed about what healthy body weights are. Men are supposed to have 17-21% body fat and women are supposed to have 25-30% body fat according to recent research. People who fall within those categories are considered obese despite that actually being the healthiest weight.
I'm so happy you did not put caseoh in here
Thanks for this video because I am working out and trying to lose weight
This just made me realize that those 20 to 30 minutes of walking/ running with my friends at recess was probably more exercise than these influencers did in probably 5+ years
As a fat kid, who has been losing weight, I can say glorifying obesity is one of the worst things ever, inwas unhealthy, and unhappy, so I'm doing something about it I'm currently down 25lbs and counting
I think the psychology behind these people is that they thought to themselves “oh I’m fat oh well mine as well be proud of that” most of them are probably to lazy or just don’t want to do anything about themselves for some reason
@elmopreparestocommitarson

Actually the psychology is “I am constantly being harassed and bullied by people who fit in this category, I have negative feelings about them and want to avoid them.” If anything it was actually psychologists that started the movement because they found that the rejection and negativity shown towards overweight people actually made the problem worse but showing acceptance and respect helped them. Thing is the world never truly accepted fat people and only got worse with their treatment by extending it with exploitation by companies and the media.
I used to be very heavy but now I’m going to the gym and I feel so much better about myself
As a Guarana Antarctica chugger, people recording themselves how "we need 3 free seats and wider hallways, wider doors, elefant sized bed, ETC.". Gluttony is everywhere!
What irks me is when you purchase 2 seats you have no guarantee that they are side by side - this is a legitimate complaint, especially when you and your partner or child have seats at opposite ends of the airplane.
As a fat kid this video is inspiring
