April 2nd, 2019 -- For my 47th outing of 2019, I soaked bloodworms on the Delaware River, way below the Delaware Memorial Bridge. The main objective of the day was to catch some MONDO Striped Bass (Morone saxatilis), but I did settle for the Multi-Species fishing at the end. :D

The quest for the MONDOS on the Delaware River continues!!! Please note that this video was shot on April 2nd, 2019. 9 days ago!!! Word on the street is that the entire River is loaded with Stripers right now! *Pick your poison* and please abide to your state's fishing rules and regulations when it comes to the Delaware River watershed. As a gentle reminder, it is *CLOSED SEASON* for Delaware River Stripers in PA, NJ, and DE at the moment! NJ and DE is catch-and-release only. PA has a 21-25 inches slot, 2 per day, but the mondos have to be released! It is legal to target the species in all three states, but all cows/mondos *should be released IMMEDIATELY!* Let's do our jobs as conscious anglers, so that the Striper population can hopefully rebounce in the future! Also, don't forget to use your circle hooks when targeting Stripers in the big D!

Tomorrow is Opening Day for trout tomorrow. Already got 16 fish this year (3 species), but it's been nearly 2 years since my last trout. Oof.

@@clauzellblackshear380 I've never caught a Black Drum north of Collins Beach in the Delaware Bay. Never heard of any coming up into the river, but when there is a drought the saltine can reach Philadelphia.

When you weight the fish do you account for the weight of the grip things? I have the same grippers and it adds a few ounces! Usually I remember to zero it out with the grips already weighed.

Y’all must be north of Philly fishing the Delaware. South of Philly down to Wilmington, DE that river is 100% pollution and stink.
This spot looks great! I just moved to Philadelphia and am looking for new spots to fish. Do you ever catch Red Drum (Redfish) in the area?
On The Hook thru the head? I've been carrying knipers/wire cutters. Just cut the hook and then the barb is off and the shank goes through with minimal damage...to me the fish is priority over the hook..:)

No. They are 100% Channel Catfish _(Ictalurus punctatus),_ Grand Wonder. Just count the anal fin rays and you will come to that conclusion. P.s. Blue Catfish = A30-35. Channel Catfish = A24-30.
