This game’s awesome, a street racing attitude.

This seems to use the Sega GT engine, or at least a lot of its assets. The sound and graphics do look like it's directly lifted from Sega GT.

Wow, maybe we can mod this game easily then!? I want to see real cars in it and some Sega GT tracks! Atomiswave games are now being hacked to run on the Dreamcast. Metal Slug 6 was just the first one ported over the other day. dreamcast-talk.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=13563

@@BFKAnthony817 I don't truly know if it's running on Sega GT engine or not. It's just a guess based on how it plays. The more you see it, the more likely it's using VF5 engine of some kind, seeing as online resources keep saying that it runs on VF5's character model engine That aside, the game is already playable on PC through a compatibility layer called Teknoparrot - kzread.info/dash/bejne/p2aD15Kfp6y0isY.html

@@ZX3000GT1 Ah could you please link what online resources say it is using the VF5 engine? I was super excited about potentially modding this when we get it ported over to Dreamcast. Metal Slug 6 is running so great it is surreal that we have an Atomiswave game running on it at all. I know it shouldn't be surprising since it has the same specs and chips as the DC. But a lot of work went into making it possible. By the way, games from DC could be made to work on the Atomiswave as well just as easily, but the guy who ported MS6 said he wasn't interested in doing so.

@@BFKAnthony817 It's everywhere, including Wikipedia. Besides, I don't think this one will run on dreamcast. The game runs on Lindbergh, which is a Linux based arcade with Pentium 4 and 6800GT GPU.

Back in the day, if you told me this was an early version of Need for Speed Underground, i would have believed. Looks very similar

Great game! Now playing it on my Sega Dreamcast

This was very similar to Need for Speed Underground & the cars are similar to Fast and Furious, I mean the green car was the Mitsubishi Eclipse.

A better title would be "Blander Than Bland". Two short P to P races per credit is a rip.

If Need for Speed was Google, this would be Bing.

Looking at this makes me think a port of Need for Speed Underground was completely possible on Dreamcast

@graywolf89 Johnny Nero is one of Chuck E. Cheese's favorites, and @arronmunroe that game Faster than Speed, is like The Fast and the Furious, the unreleased 2003 game developed by Genki.

@graywolf89 I played Need for Speed Underground and Johnny Nero Action Hero back in Chuck E. Cheese's in Oklahoma in 2007/2008 when i was a child.

I didn't exactly memorize the courses. While I replayed some of them, I was mainly just checking the map to see where I was going. My main goal was just to come in first, which isn't that difficult because of how the computer players work in this game. Anyways, I don't know exactly how long I played this, but probably about 2 and a half hours.

If I recall, it switches to manual when you press the shift up button during the race.

A 30fps racing game? WHAT WERE THEY THINKING?

It is playable on PC, but it was never officially ported from arcade.

I haven't tried that game out before. While I did agree to play Sonic the Fighters, I don't normally play many 1v1 games, and it's not really the type of video I want to make on KZread.
