    I’m part of a junior firefighting program. I’ve gone on one structure fire and one vehicle fire and also some ems calls. Are you still doing the junior program? How’s it going with it?

    I love seeing these videos about “how fast guys can put their gear on” but the thing is the gear is laid out all nice and neat. That isn’t how the gear is when you actually put it on, it doesn’t matter how fast you are when your gear is on the floor.

    Two classes we have to do these drills for. Basic school and Smoke Diver. Not used anywhere else.

    So what happens when a bigger guy gets ahold of of that pre-tightened pack And there is no way on this planet you had a proper seal on that mask You are quick but there are things wrong here

    Personal mask that was pre set. Makes it harder to get on but is checked at end of drill. This is just a drill for 2 different classes. All of our packs are all the way out for different size guys. You are absolutely correct…

    You can look up Janesville gear. There are many types of gear name brands. They would have to fit you for it to be right. You might could find some on the internet somewhere.

    question not to be a jerk or anything but did the mask have a good seal and did you have your shoes on in the boots?

  • @treyboyfd9952

    @treyboyfd9952

    Жыл бұрын

    Definitely a good seal. They were pre-set and checked by proctor at the end. He had on socks. No shoes go in the boots. Your not being a jerk, it’s a valid question brother! 💯💯💯😊

    Here from SG, Impressive dude. Consistent 40 seconds is hard enough let alone under 33. How is your facemask not leaking? Once again Impressive.

  • @treyboyfd9952

    I had my straps pre set. We have a class called Smoke Diver we have to get under 60 seconds 3 times in a row. So when you do it, it’s day two. So your gear might be wet and your tired. So it’s one of those things, you learn to adapt and overcome. The mask is a little harder to put on, but it’s sealed. All is checked after drill. I went to Smoke in 2010. Back then I was 38-42 with a PR of 35. Never thought I could ever break that….not in this newer gear. JT and I did these for 8 hours that day….

    Am I wrong? Or is that purge noise indication that his mask isn't sealed properly? Not gonna knock him, that was fast, but is it fire ready?? He didn't touch his straps, and he's losing O2, no? Sounds to me like he's breathing heavy at the end. Doesn't sound like the regulator.

  • @treyboyfd9952

    @treyboyfd9952

    So that noise is low air alarm. We had been doing drills all day and the bottle was almost empty. These drills are just for the fire academy, smoke diver, and really just the repetition to be familiar with PPE…

    Ik you guys are like “ don’t worry bout the hood can’t see in a fire anyway” sure might be true but if your operating a tick or have flash lights or even doing a search that hood only needs to be over the rubber seal not the lenses but anyhow that’s crazy fast couldn’t do that in a million years
