Fast Ferry to Siargao Island Mindanao
Cristina and I walked onto a fast ferry docked at Surigao City and headed off to Siargao Island. Before we left, Cristina gave our stay at the Hotel Tavern a one and a half thumbs up rating. We loved our stay in Surigao City - and enjoyed the working people buzz of the place. Every year Cristina's rating system changes a bit. This year her highest rating is two thumbs up. So 1.5 is good - but not the best.
hotel $75 a night in the philippines by the ocean thats cheap,paying hotel by the ocean here in the U.S will cost you a lot

Hotels in Philippines are a great value when compared to US and Canada. In Vancouver, where Cristina and I are from it costs a lot more to stay in a hotel. Philippines prices for accommodation, restaurant and transportation are all lower than what we can find in Canada or the US. Great value is one of the reasons that keeps us coming back to travel Philippines.
