Thank you, Evelyn. Got everything right, I noticed that C2 was focused mainly on advanced collocations rather than grammar. My problem is that, although I know and understand advanced vocabulary, I rarely use it. I would use it in my formal or semi formal writing since I have time to look for a proper word or expression, but when speaking they are kind of hidden somewhere deep in my brain :( So many times, afterwards, I say to myself "I should have said that instead of this". It's frustrating, like trying to drive a car with full tank but the battery is dead so you're stuck

I'll share a trick I use.. After I write something that contains vocabulary that I feel I should use more often... I record that piece of writing on my phone and then listen to it while walking, working out or sunbathing at the beach ... This seems to work for me..

This isn't serious. I thought that being C2 meant being perfectly fluent in a language and knowing all the tons of words and collocations that native speakers actually use, but it turned out to be knowing the difference between persuasive and persuasively.

Hi Evelyn ! First of all, I would like to say thank you for the test, it's very helpful, and it is an excellent opportunity to evaluate the knowledge that we have been learning so far. Anyway I am very satisfied with my scores, I get all the questions except one.In my humble opinion, it's not representative because I'm not good at listening, which is something that I I'm interested in to enhance as soon as possible. Finally I would just like to inform you that personally I have learned a lot of things from you and I am still learning. So thank you so much for all your efforts. Good continuation.

I am a non-native English teacher. The tests are okay, but I would suggest you talk or explain more about the English grammar: tenses, conditionals, time clauses, modal verbs, future forms, etc. Mainly students need more explanations and examples in order to understand the grammar because without it nobody can speak English properly.

With this test a person can actually know if he is in C2? Really?

Thank you Evelyn for your efforts, but with all due respect this test doesn't reflect reality. It doesn't necessarily guarantee that a person who scores C1 or even C2 on this test can actually speak and write at B1 or B2 let alone at C1 or C2 levels. C1 level means a highly advanced student who can function effectively in most situations and who is able to interact with native speakers at an advanced level. Perhaps, you should get some help from IELTS, CELPIP or TOEFL although I firmly believe even those tests don't prove anything but at least you have better criteria.

Thank you for the feedback, Saeid! I always appreciate your detailed comments. Yes, given that this is only a 7-minute test, the results should be taken with a grain of salt. That being said, these tests can be a useful gauge for English learners who want to quickly assess their approximate reading level. Many viewers don’t choose to watch longer videos, so I’ve taken that into account when making this test

@@improveyourenglishwithevelyn Thank you for your reply. But perhaps as you stated in your reply here, you should have stated the same caveat in such videos that the result is approximate, and that students need to take longer tests under exam conditions to have a better understanding of their level.
