FAST Bluegrass Picking Guitar Lesson... Blake Style! "Bonaparte Crossing the Rhine" | Traditional

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

Part 1 of this 4-part lesson on the classic traditional fiddle tune “Bonaparte Crossing the Rhine”. This arrangement for guitar is based on the Norman Blake version and is a great intermediate level tune that combines crosspicking and lead playing elements into a rich instrumental played out of capo 3.

Excellent, Brandon. Thanks for all the effort you put into these videos, you really do a great job. I love Norman Blake's style. He doesn't get nearly as much love as he should, in terms of mainstream guitar conversation. A flatpicking and folk-and-bluegrass master, absolutely no doubting that at all. Such a rich body of work. Cheers, from NW England! :)

Beautiful stuff, Brandon! Ludwig von Beethoven wrote his 3rd symphony, Heroica, in 1803 for Napoleon Bonaparte, Emperor of France. At least initially, he was a big fan. Nice tune! Thanks.
