As a huge sailor moon fan I had to go back to that look to see what you meant. I can see it now, but it’s definitely a loose inspiration. It’s hard to see cause she’s removed the skirt, the iconic colors, the little bow and cape piece. It’s definitely there tho and I like it more now that I’ve seen that

Norberto Martinez her outfit wasn't that bad but the runway was called "hats incredible" and her hat was objectively the most boring and basic of anything else on the runway. People are pissed because they're harshly criticising some of the queens for their hats but completely ignoring eurekas.

I was furious that Asia was safe. I wanted the judges to praise her relentlessly for that outfit. I only wish the green velvet was lighter like a dandelion stalk.

I believe that people may have gotten the reference faster if the shade of green on the dress was lighter. The Hunter Green was hard to clock. Especially with the beautiful drama of the hat. But the reference was clear to me from the jump. I loved it.

To be honest, I was kinda dissapointed with the Hats Incredible runway as a whole. I thought Asia was the only one who really had an appropriate outfit. Eureka's, Blair's and Monet's hats matched the outfit too much (as in they were literally the same colour and fabric) so I wasn't seeing the hat as a centrepiece.

Aja was a big fish in a small pond back in her school’s journalism team. She was a small time writer, turned editor in chief of the magazine, and she was loved by all. It was only a natural transition after graduation for her to rock up to the big apple with wide eyes and an expectation to fall into a job at one of her favourite fashion publications, but of course, life doesn’t work that way. Months of shitty bar jobs, and underground networking gets her everywhere she doesn’t want to be, and it’s this tall Amazonian woman wearing a fringed fascinator who finds Aja at her worst, curled up in the corner of a dark club, sobbing through a bad trip. The tall woman takes her home, gets her cleaned up, and warm, and fed, and gives her a bed for the night. The woman, Aja learns, is Raja. Raja is too tall, and too rich, and too kind, and Aja’s not sure what to think of her, but Raja tells her she reminds her of her when she was a kid, and takes Aja under her wing. One night turns into a week, a month, 3 months. The company is nice, Raja thinks, watching Aja swear at the TV as she plays that Mortal Combat game in her pyjamas. Aja impresses Raja with her knowledge of publication and fashion, and Raja introduces her to the right people. Aja starts making it, like really making it. No more seedy bars, now she’s all black fur coats, and stoned cowboy hats, and when she gets her name credited in the back of the magazine, Aja cries and Raja hugs her and tells her, “I’m proud of you, kid.” Raja never wanted kids. Why would she? Kids are terrible, but maybe Aja isn’t so bad, she thinks. It sometimes feels like there’s a cord connecting their brains, they’re so in tune with each other, and Raja loves how Aja is able to get her points across without the rambling Raja is so guilty of. It’s like fate they’ve found each other. They make each other better, and you know what?........... ......THATS what those lewks were giving me!
