@coffeespoons5925 Sean said, when Ezzy was born, that she'd never be selling her. Belle, yes...Ezzy, nope.
Your farrier is excellent. He worked beautifully with each horse. For Ezzy's first experience she did great. All the horses are so chill and sweet. Great video, thanks. 🐎❤
A good farrier is hard to find, and you have a gem. He is so quiet and efficient. He obviously likes your horses because you have done so well preparing them. Ezzi was amazing for her 1st experience. She and Belle are both keepers. Love your videos.
A lot of people don’t realize how important a good farrier is. I was super impressed with the calm voice he used and the patience he took with each of them, especially making Ezzy’s first experience a positive one. I’m sure it helped immensely that you started working with her feet at just a few days old. I can’t get over how big she’s getting already. I’m glad the storm held off for you. We had a doozy of one the other day. I’m about 4 hours from you in Ohio.
I like how the farrier allowed Ezzy to check out the stand and tools. He held her hooves just long enough and not as high to get them trimmed. ❤
All the horses are looking splendid, and Ezzy looks so healthy and happy, along with her momma Belle. They are so beautiful.

❤ Yay Shae! ~~ 163 K subscribers. My first time seeing a 4-month-old foal in her first trim with an excellent farrier, who apparently loves horses as much as you. His massages throughout his work really inspired so much trust in your equines. ❣💯 Yay Farrier!

@@freespiritequestrian He has the personal, interactive skills that communicate with your whole range of horses. I agree that's hard to get the right fit of service professionals. If they don't love their job, the equines will be the first to tell them. That coat-rimmer, was it Leslie (?) was excellent trimming Mushu. She loves her work and animals. Thanks, as always, for showing us how it should be done and people who are not burned out.
That sweet baby is gorgeous😮 I love seeing thicker condition on all horse breeds . Every one looks so muscular . ❤your channel

It was way to windy and not everyone likes talking on camera. We have to be respectful of others and realize not everyone is used to being so filmed or giving out info. He was totally fine with being filmed but he’s also working.

How fun to watch Ezzy’s first trim. Your farrier is excellent & you can tell he loves what he does. Such well mannered horses are a testament to your training; good job Shae!🌹
You’ve done a wonderful job with that baby. She looks super healthy, she’s well socialized mentally and I can tell you’ve been really working with her on groundwork and manners. Nicely done. Belle looks happy and relaxed as well
I’m so happy you had Ezzy watch Belle’s trim. I could tell Exzy was very interested in what was going on. Your ground work, and letting Ezzy watch, sure paid off. Well done. ❤️
All of your horses are so good… good natured, and happy .. I smile at each one. Little girl Esmerelda was really good for her first trim with the farrier.. such a good girl.. all of them feel secure and happy it shows and it’s all due to you.. amazing ❤

You've got yourself one extremely intelligent well-tempered girl, it's going to be an absolute dream to train her. So looking forward to seeing her grow up😊❤❤
Ezzy is doing beautifully and you have started her so well. ❤
This video is a testament to the calm, loving, gentle hands on approach you take with training each of the horses/ponies that they are calm and patient whilst having their hooves done. Your farrier has a great, understanding demenour too and we know how horses sense a relaxed or nervous person and he was really unruffled. Esmerelda did so well for her first time considering it was all new to her and her cheeky side trying to get the farrier's aherm apple was hilarious. Belle is a relaxed mama too and she is beautiful 😻.
Shae, you lucked out finding such a good farrier, didn't you?! The horse babies were all so good for him, including Ezzy. If I were her I'm not so sure I could have tolerated the vibration from the rasp -- especially while balancing on three legs! Wahoo! 🤠🐴🐎💓
Esmeralda did so good for her first ever hoof trim such a beautiful baby girl 🩷🐎
She did amazing 🤩 Ezzy is such a good little horse
All the horses look so healthy and happy, which is a great testament to the quality care they all receive at Free Spirit Farm. Esmeralda did very well with the farrier and her human Mama holding her and loving on her. It is obvious that Bell was content with how this new experience was for her baby. All calm and affectionate energy expressed in a positive way, regardless of the impending storm and wind. Did I hear correctly the farrier’s suggestion for Ezzy, that it would be good for her to have her feet trimmed every 4 weeks? Monthly? Is that usual timing for foals both for hoof care and training experience? Curious to know the reasons why. And is it going to happen for Ezzy until she is more mature with tougher hooves? Thx for sharing this event in the life of working, busy, happy horses, Shae. 👍🐎🥰❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Ezzy did better than a foal 4 times her age! And yeah, wow, she's massive! Perhaps some Shire? Can't wait for dna! Interesting about composite shoes. I love the idea!
Esmeralda is like, "what's happening, tiny mama?" She's such a good little baby. 😍😍😍
Shae, I admire your responsible horsemanship. You oversee your horse farm and the care of your horses impeccably. It's no surprise that you have meticulously cared for your first goal. Belle and Esmerelda were fortunate you found them. It is a miracle to see how everything aligned for them and you. So....I wonder if you have a Baby Book for Ms. Ezzy? Blessings --- love and prayers ❤
Wow! I can't believe that Belle stood there so calmly and quietly!! What a good girl!! 🤩❤
Ezzy is growing up so fast! She is a real beauty! She is so well taken care of and receiving so much love and affection. That's why she is responding so well to the whole process. I can t wait to see her as fully grown up horse. She is adorable and such a sweetie. So is mama Belle. Love you all.❤
Omg! I can’t believe how big Esmeralda has got?! She gonna be a big girl for sure , I love watching good farriers work, all such gorgeous well behaved horses too💕💕

Your farrier is amazing! You can tell how thoughtful he is in looking at their hooves prior to trim or filing 🥰 All my horses are barefoot now too, except one. But all are late 20’s into their 30’s just being horses and enjoying their retirement. Occasionally I will throw a saddle on and do a little bit of walk trot canter just to keep a bit of normal routine. I love your channel and remember my days of full on horse care, lessons, training, rescuing and shows and trail rides. Even having worked on the race track as a groomer and hot walker. Thank You- watching you in the midst and giving me glimpses of my past that I may have forgotten or otherwise altogether forgotten 🤷🏻♀️. Wondering… if it wasn’t for Shae, what would have triggered that memory…? 🙃🙂

Great to see everyone’s good-after those storms, I was a little concerned 😊!!! You’d never have known it was Essy’s first farrier visit-was like she’d been doing that for Years... And Belle, being her sweet, easy-going self, took it all in stride...I was pretty Impressed with them both, as I think was your farrier!!! Kyle was so attentive and helpful-he’s Great with the horses. Girl-You Are So BLESSED!!! 😇
My grandfather had many strings to his bow...one was being a farrier and blacksmith. I never got to meet him but his legacy lives on, in that he taught his son, my dad, to love animals and my dad taught me.Although I never learned to ride, I so enjoy your videos, even at 71, I learn something new everyday. Today it was composite shoes. A big shout out to the farrier who was so calm and patient. And my, but Ezzy is one sweet filly, strong, sturdy, stunning. Thanks Shae, from Kaye, Australia, with admiration.

It's so good to see Ezzy's first manny peddy go so well... Good girl Ezzy...
How can you deal with how adorable she is every single day??? Love her ❤❤❤
Quite a positive educational experience for Esmeralda. She’s going to be a big horse, so starting her young is definitely the way to go. Your farrier was amazing with her. He did everything he does to a bigger horse, but he kept it short and focused and very positive. He is either making his own life easier in the future, or else, some other farrier’s life easier, that’s for sure! Not to mention Esmeralda’s own life easier.
Oh Gosh, Ezzy and Mama did so well!! Shows what an excellent horsewoman you are, Shae!! I love the positive affirmations and cuddles/scritches. And Belle being unbothered shows how much she has grown to trust you. And not just with herself but with her baby, which is AMAZING!! Go Belle and Ezzy!!
Ezzy did so well for her first time, your farrier is very calm and patient which is great to see.

I think that the good ground work for Ezzy, helping her to learn that regular care is part of her healthy life, coupled with a farrier that is able to be flexible with who is being trimmed is an excellent combination. So happy Ezzy is growing up in a healthy and loving environment
Gaston..... love the name! You have a wonderful fleet there! God Bless You All, always.
Wow! Ezzy is getting so big!! She is so adorable. All your horses are beautiful! ❤
I love your farrier! Great Job Dude! What a great job he has to come and trim for you. So impressed with how all your horses are so well behaved. Way to go Ezzy! I am so looking forward to watching you start Bell! Great Video again!!
Your farrier is a gem! He seems to know just how to handle the horses to keep them at ease, especially little Essy.
What wonderful horses and Essi was amazing. What a great farrier you have too😊
I LOVE your farrier! I can say from first hand experience how important it is to find a great farrier. I had a farrier years ago severely quick one heavily pregnant mares. He arrived early and he already had her shod when I got there. She had some hoof issues we were working through so at the time she was one of two out of 22 who was shod.. like you, once they were done I turned them out and she walked off with no problem. That night when I got back to the barn to feed, she was three legged lame. I pulled the shoe, soaked her and called both the farrier and vet. The farrier said he couldn’t come back until the next day so the Vet who arrived that evening saw her first. She tested very sore with the hoof tester and the vet said she could see the nail track and blood where she had been quicked. I soaked her for WEEKS, she was given an antibiotic and tetanus booster and wrapped. The infection spread and I ended up hauling her to Auburn University for surgery WHILE PREGNANT, to shorten a VERY LONG story I ended up doing my best to treat my mare but ultimately she foaled early and I ended up putting her down because it just wasn’t fair to make her continue to suffer when she just wasn’t getting better. I raised her colt on a bottle and learned a REALLY valuable lesson about who to trust with my horses.. VERY few people will ever treat your animals with the love and care YOU will..
They all did great. Momma was such a good teacher and the little filly Ezzie was a perfect princess. You have an awesome herd there girly.❤😊
I feel just like Ezzie when I get my feet done! She is so amazingly cute! I love how Belle's positive energy lets Ezzie be curious and playful. Love watching her grow!
Ezzy shines! She's going to be amazing. I watch your channel because I am new to horses, but have had a deep bond with every animal in my 56 years of life. But ya , I can tell, that baby gonna shine!
Bell id so lucky you got her! She is safe, and her baby is safe. It's everything!
Shae, you always reward your horses for their curiosity and courage in new situations. That makes them bold enough to step into new experiences and reinforces the trust they have in you. I started foals first farrier visit by having the mare tied where she can't shift very far and tying or holding the foal close next to the mare. First on the right side then on the left side. That way the foal doesn't feel pulled from mom and the mare keeps the foal physically in place for the exam/trim. Mom horse makes a great baby bumper to stop shifting by the foal. You are also blessed with a very calm farrier! And you are so right---the incoming storm can make less "professional" horses spooky! It says so much positive about Essie and your training that she wants to go check out the farrier and his tools AFTER her trim. Bold, curious but careful and trusting. That is how you keep your horses. So impressive, Shae. It's so funny how very stressed out Jiminy is! He knows he is getting orthopedic shoes!
I just love Bell and Ezze. Thank you for letting us see the ferrier too
I'm so impressed with all the horses. Baby did so well. Mom is the best ever. She knows they r safe with u. Horses transfer that trust to their offspring. If momma says it's ok, than baby will respond positively. I just adore horses. I miss having them for all the right reasons. Kiss 💋😘😘 that baby girl for me, please??? I luv her and her momma.❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Well done Ezzy. I’m impressed how good all your horses are with the farrier. Thanks Shae xx

I love that you leave most of the horses hooves natural.
You can tell with how social your babies are that they are loved and treated like family. 😊❤ Ezzy is beautiful just like Belle!
The skill and physicality needed from a farrier is very intriguing and impressive.
The farrier is wonderful ❤ Ezzy did so well! ❤❤
Your farrier is really nice, which makes it so much better when tge farrier is gentle and willing to give the foal as well as your adult horses the time they need.
Such a lovely group of horses, they're all so chilled and well behaved ❤
Such a good experience with the farrier. I had a farrier ruin a filly for farrier work. My baby's first trim, and when she struggled, he tipped her over. She got up shaking, and never did she get her feet trimmed without a huge fight. Esme will now look at your dear farrier as a kind man. Congrats to all for a wonderful start in life for Esmerelda. ❤
What a great first trim for Ezzy. She did very well for her first time. I think she was more curious about what was going on and couldn’t figure it all out. She will be much better her next time and I’m so glad it wasn’t a traumatic experience for her. ❤
She is so big can’t wait to see her grow up ❤😊
