This is a pleasant surprise. Can't wait for future updates.
From one chef to another, this is the most metal thing a chef can do with and for their community - PLEASE do more episodes of this, Matty! Especially tips on growing certain veg/fruits/starches. Love the content!
Starting a farm with Matty Matheson sounds like EXACTLY what I want to do with my life.

What we *all* should do. I don't have access to an actual farm but the tomatoes/cucumbers/peppers ect. That I've grown in the backyard are way better than what I can get at the grocery store. Watering in the evening is like my meditation.

Nothing I can do in life can measure up to anything that's done with Matty Matheson.
This is the single greatest video i've seen Matty release since I first started watching him 4ish years ago. Its really insane to see what he has done with his life and career. You are a inspiration chef, you are the reason I put myself into the culinary industry and I couldnt thank you enough!
I tell ya, there's nothing like walking out to the garden for a nice veggie or something. Can't beat it

Every time I find out something new about Matty, I like him more. Guy is just a non stop G.
I highly recommend companion planting (interplanting), things like onions/garlic with your tomatoes and beans with your corn and squash. Some plants highly benefit each other!

That's actually what the American Indian Natives taught the English Pilgrims when they settled in the US - it's pretty fascinating how you can manipulate cultivation like that!

This is my dream in life. So glad this series is happening I am drooling
We've wanted to record SO MANY wtf's on our farm. Like Bob Vila's TV show, except call it 'This Old Farm'. Stoked for this series! Farm content is hilarious and educational!
Would love to see our boy Matty get in shape so we have his content for many more years to come! Love the channel.

Awesome Matty! From someone who has been Homesteading for 15 years , get yourself some dual wheel wheelbarrows. You’ll thank me later. The single wheeled models are for grunts. The only thing you’re missing are around 10 chickens. They earn their keep in a 1 acre garden.
@ericasteele5199

May I ask how they earn their keep? I've been wanting to homestead for a while now, and now that I've finally bought a house (god willing in this economy) I wanted to get into gardening and sustainability. I've always wanted chickens, but is it viable to have just one?
@cf9076

@@ericasteele5199 chickens are social animals and you need to have at least two or three of them, they need to be part of a flock. They will give you eggs daily and you can use their manure in the garden. You could also raise meat birds, buy I get too attached to my chickens for that. Their funny little animals with their own personalities.
Warning new viewers: going from this farming show to Just a Dash can give you whiplash!
Looks like heaven 🙌👏💓 good for you Matty, keep on living the dream Big Dog! Thanks for sharing, looking forward to updates!

When Matty turns his shirt inside out? Ya know he means it.
I'm excited to see more! Matty is a little too bombastic for me sometimes and I'm feeling this chill hippie kinda vibe.
Matty Matheson. Thank you sir .being self sufficient and knowing what your eating from seed to table . Your bringing such a beautiful, knowledgeable way of living is what THE PEOPLE need.
Good luck with your farming, Matty. I had a raised bed for years. Grew many different heirloom tomatoes, Chile peppers, Swiss chard, scallions, herbs. All organically. I had the bed pulled out 2 years ago, miss it. I grow in pots now. Didn’t grow much this summer and I miss it. Lazy at home and busy at work this year.
Yay! This makes me so happy! I don't know how much Matty is involved with the day to day but I will watch any amount of videos of your progress on this farm. I truly hope it is a fruitful venture for you both.
Oh my goodness Matty...this is amazing... I just wanna thank you for showing us what your doing...truly shows how possible this way of living is...I mean you’re working for your food and benefiting this beautiful planet we exist on...I think it’s truly amazing and I’d probably stare at it all day tbh...there’s nothing more gratifying than being able to provide the most basic thing we all need to survive...food...then to give back to the place it came from instead of being destructive and mindless...we just become a little more aware of how possible and beneficial a food system like this is...I’m a firm believer that if more communities had garden like this beautiful things could happen...Obviously could go on and on but I just am so freakin excited by what you folks are doing...what an undertaking too yeah...wow so inspired indeed...crazy how everything comes full circle...light bulb moment yeah...Aloha & Mahalo for bring us along on this food journey...from seed to plate...Bon Appetit Brah 🤙🏽🌱✨
Yep! This is the dream!!! One day.. one day…. And congratulations its beautiful! Well done!!
Can’t wait for the series to continue!
This is so awesome! I love Matty's enthusiasm. Such a cool dude.
Everyone who can, should be growing food right now! 😁 I use a lot of interplanting and succession sowing, as well as season extension. Lee Valley has an awesome soil blocker and now I am plastic free!!! Grow on!
I love this so much! Can’t wait to watch this farm grow!
Seeing a no-till farm like this always makes me happy! You're feeding the soil, and the plants reward you :).
"this is what matters" I love you Matty thanks for making this inspiring video. I hope this helps people want to get into more sustainable ways of getting their food. I'm proud of everything you're doing and wish you the best. -Huge fan!
I grew up with a family of farmers, my grandparents were farmers of time magazine 2004-6 or something. My house which sits around 5/6 acres was mainly used for farming and our farm was brining in 100,000 every summer season . And it’s been 4 years since my parents and grandparents are getting older we haven’t touched the land. There’s chili that grows on it’s own every year. So this has given me such inspiration. I hope this message gets out so people to follow my growth from zero
love you my boy matty, and spreading the word about your content. I hope you have fun making it.
I am so excited for this series - it's goals tbh
Thank you for this series. I'd love to hear more on composting.
Awesome video thanks for sharing Matty! Can’t wait to see some footage of your new panhead chop
Awesome video. Sometimes calm, thoughtful Matty is great. Really shows what an amazing thing growing your own food is for the soul.
Yes! Please keep content coming!! Chef’s kiss x
How beautiful. I could feel the goodness. Marty, I don’t think you swear once. I earth must bring you to a safer, mellower place. Everything looks so lush & healthy. This is how it should be for all of us. Grow as much of the food you eat as possible. Thanks for the great example. 💐
Could not LOVE this more. Please keep them coming!
This is beyond beautiful and exactly what my Dreams are made of. Really wish everyone could have an oppurtunity to do this. Can't wait to see more of it !
The world is in need of more sustainable farming! Pleasant surprise
Matty this is awesome brother. I just started a garden a few weeks ago and had no idea your farm was at this scale. this is an awesome video thank you
I'm watching everyone of these...I love it!
Excellent video Matty your hair is looking glorious!
this is amazing and something I want to do when I get a house of my own. i would love to see more content about this, like how to get started, how to get your own seeds from your crops, how to repel bugs without pesticides, stuff like that
Matty, this amazing and highly important. We are on year 1 of our 7 acre land and are prepping for next year with some small beds. Stoked to see more of this type of content 🤘

So needed in this world. So cool. So perfect.
This is awesome content. THANK YOU MATTY!
This is wholesome. Love to see it.
Love it! My Mom always had a huge garden (1/2 acrerishko) and i had to pick weeds but I usually just ate the peas. HAHA, 1973 ish. So it's time to start like you, well needed. I'm inspired. Yep
LOVE IT!!! I started my gardening experience this year with 2 6ft x 3ft raised beds with wheels for mobility on a patio. Been such an eye opener for self-sustainability through growing veggies/composting. Would love to go larger scale one day like you guys are trying!
Instead of Massey Ferguson tractor it's Matty Ferguson . Love ya Matty! Please keep this going.

Love that you grow your own vegetables 🥰
First year growing potted veggies on the balcony of my apt, plus our complex started many beds at the beginning of the pandemic, so fulfilling to watch everything grow big and strong! Love you Matty! #rockstar
Good job Guys! Love to see it. Get compost worms to improve your soil and maybe install solar on the roof to offset the power usage of your walkin cooler.
Matty please more videos like this! Love all the veggies
