One of my favorite things about this release...they are dropping old-gen consoles. With that ball-and-chain gone...let us hope they used that opportunity to improve things.

I agree. It should mean a big improvement overall

I feel like the core issue people had with grapes/olives was either a map didn't come with it setup and before they added snapping it was near impossible to setup causing people to just ignore it. Then when maps did come with them pre-setup on the map it came in 2 flavors. Vineyards small enough to be overshadowed by anything on the map or so damn big it would take you 15 hours to harvest a single vineyard plot leading to the core issue... It was the only aspect that couldn't use automated workers which I imagine for most was the killing blow.

100% agree, but on PC we have the mods that allow us to maintain a straight line as well as harvest at top speed. Problem is getting the first row of vines set at the correct angle on the first go, which can be a nightmare. But once that first row is in its all golden from there. Hopefully all the extra root crops that came in with one of the expansion packs are base game in 25. Plus hopefully they get licensing for more American vehicles like Chevy, Dodge & Ford so that console players can get them too

I am not a farmer but I remember studying from school textbooks about how resourceful farmers in asia would turn hillsides into rice terraces. Hopefully it can be implemented in the FS25.

Needs an Australia map. The sheer insanity and scale of operations. Single farms bigger than entire countries. The crazy custom equipment. Would be wild

Can't wait to play it...sometime in 2025 when my favorite mods are out and better maps. I'm always dissapointed in vanilla FS...but the game tranforms into one of my favorite games of all time 3-6 months later.

Having a third person view option standard in the game would make the game so much more fun

The one thing I'd really love to see is the mirrors when 1st person driving actually work and become useabe when reversing etc.

Looks Good in all, not to bothered about rice is a long growing crop and takes all year before harvest and not very profitable. Was hoping for a British map I had heard rumours of a in game Lancashire Map with highland Cows but that don't look it be the case.

Now that you will be able to grow rice they could also have cranberries. Fingers crossed the weather and graphics are like the trailer.

Guess you and George will have to take a vacation to Asia to check some things out. As a console player, I have been on the end of games moving on to the next gen. It does stink for some on the last gen that cant upgrade, but it is a necessary change to keep the game moving in a good direction. I look forward to all your videos on this new version Scroft. Though after typing that i realize George is not allowed near any rice field without a life jacket. Hes terrible around water 😅

Still hoping for a tulip bulb crop (and a proper Dutch polder map) one day, lots of slightly different kit to use for that and different things to do with the bulbs / flowers as a crop

If you look at the last map it has stone walls so could be Scottish map may be Irish fantastic video scroft keep it up

In one of the screenshots scroft we see the fendt with a mazuri seeder on the back which is built in Worcestershire so another nod to a British map expansion.

At 8:26, could it be that there will be face scanning for your character that will be available 3rd person now? I know PC had a mod that brought 3rd person but you only saw your player in a vehicle or through the build mode on console. Just a thought

Will I buy it? Yes. Am I super hyped based on this? No. Have 0 interest in rice and water buffaloes. Am I hoping more interesting info for my type of gameplay will come later? Yes. Otherwise this will only be a graphics upgrade (hopefully) to fs 22 for me.

I cant wait til you do many roleplays with the new game when its out. Im still trying to catch up with farmhand. George is my favourite character and think im at episode 174 or close. George moans that much, its actually good to hear him when he laughs. I wish the console for fs22 had the ability to delete the base games that come with it, except for elmcreek. Always revert back to that when im trying new equipment or farmbuild layouts. Want more tractors too.

I'm also curious if this will do anything to change your Farm Hand Series? Maybe Oxygen David will put a rush on getting Court Farms moved over so you can continue the Series on the new platform

Was looking forward to this but I guess I'm stuck on 22 forever with not having next gen console or pc which sucks as not all of us are fortunate enough to have the spare money for a better system guess I'll just have to watch the videos but it looks good

I meant the Asian map, The hills and landscape. Hopefully it will be detailed. I say in the video that the graphics are not going to look like this

It won't even be worth playing until the mod community has a chance to build around the new engine. That will be at least another 6 months post release before interesting maps and gameplay mods come out.

Including distance fog, enhanced shadows, dynamic weather effects, ground deformation, and more. The romantic life of virtual farming gets more immersive and atmospheric! How is that not a big improvement? Ground deformation alone is something we've been waiting years for after Cattle and Crops had it as a feature and attempted to take on Farm Sim but failed. Let alone there's still more detail of the mechanics to be explained at Farm Con in a few weeks.

More news will come out. But for me, dropping the older gen consoles and the improved specs will make this a much needed upgrade. I think when we see more at Farmcon it will be more clear. The graphics, effects, and soil deformation, all sound promising to me
