Farideh’s Fried Ravioli & Vodka Sauce | The Cooking Show
Ойын-сауық
Farideh walks through how to make fried ravioli, the unhealthy but tastier cousin to the traditional stuffed noodle dish. She uses three kinds of cheese and Italian sausage for filling and creates a velvety vodka sauce, transforming a standard ravioli into a crispy, dippable, hand-held appetizer.

Gotta say, I love how you started the video with the spectrum of how to say ricotta from most to least correct, Farideh. Haha
I am from St. Louis, home of the T Rav.
Looks incredible and I always appreciate a episode that's heavy on the "Sicily"🍻

hahaha so glad to see I'm not the only one who firmly believes in snacking cheese
Based on Farideh's energy level that's not the only"powdered stuff" she's using 😂😂

Holy heart attack batman. Carbs, with cheese and Italian sausage inside it, covered in more carbs then deep fried. Then dipped in a vodka sauce made out of butter. Then shave more cheese over it.
You had me at "Fried"
Delicious
This makes me think of cheese ragu from Chinese restaurants. Pretty much the same thing but deep fried in wonton wrappers
Ohh yesss,haha🤣,.thats definitely looks so delicious n amazing recipes created by you, thanks for sharing my friends, n glad to be connected!!😍🥰🤝👌👍👍
A host who is equal parts entertaining and adorable. Thank you Ferideh for the recipe! Can't wait to try it out and then make a dairy-free version for the partner!

I have never considered frying Ravioli. Damm that looks great. I agree with the folks who make the sheet pasta that looks very thick for Ravioli. However considering she is frying it maybe a good idea. That said a rolling pin and a few minutes of work and you could roll it thinner. Anyway I got to give that vodka sauce a try. I believe it would go well with my 3 cheese and smoked salmon Ravioli. Everyone have a great day 🌤. Oh and Sicily 👍🍷
I think I’m in love
This is the most I've ever wanted something in a cooking show.
Dry vermouth is also very nice in this kind of sauce!

The alcohol probably helps draw out all the oils and flavors more effectively, vefore the alcohol is partial boiled off

Oh wow, did Farideh stop drinking? As a Sicilian,
I’m from St. Louis. We invented this dish. We call it toasted ravioli (even though it is deep fried) and the filling should NEVER be cheese, it should be MEAT!

Wonderful food and amazing chef. She's ridiculous, been in a good way..... 😁
Fried ravioli is almost as good as a Farideh episode.
The funny thing is that you keep saying Sicily, like vodka is the least Sicilian aspect of this dish, but you should also add pasta, butter and tomatoes to that list.
Host is amazing, one thing I'd mention is you can get some nice "premade" raviolis and vodka sauce from store and cut the prep time in half. IMO rolling raviolis is a pain in the ass and the store bought ones in the refrigerated section of the supermarket are usually pretty high quality.
@ScottMcQuownTX

Let's go troll. So buy the pre-made stuff and avoid the how to do it videos and your useless comments. Simple. No?
@alexanderperry3679
2 жыл бұрын
@@ScottMcQuownTX not sure what the anger is about, I was only pointing out that you can get to like %80 of this in %50 of the time. You still have to fry etc, you just don't need to roll the raviolis. I personally loathe rolling pasta. Also everyone skips steps, the host did not make the pasta from scratch, and did not crush their own tomatoes.
We call it "Toasted Ravioli" in St. Louis because that makes us feel like less of a fat pig.
Can i come over?
She is fricken awesome!!! I wish she knew football!!! She'd be the star on Good Morning Football!!!!!!!

Why is she so beautifu thoel 😍
She is so cute.
There are flavor and aroma compounds in tomatoes that are ONLY alcohol soluble. Adding vodka, wine, etc is the only way to volatilize these compounds and unlock their flavor. EVERY red sauce you make should have some alcohol in it, otherwise you are leaving flavor behind.
omnipresent eggs are the best
How can one not love Farideh?
