I remember watching Lakshya as a kid and being amazed without the sheer understanding of most of its content, the performances, the creative style, and technicalities. I just remember thinking that the movie was brilliant. Watching it once again a few weeks back I just couldn't bring myself to believe what went wrong with the movie. It is definitely one of Farhan's best work and something the young generation can align with. However underrated Lakshya may be it is still one of the gems in Hindi cinema.

I can't agree more ! It's a beautiful movie, perfect from any angle. And Hrithik's acting is so "just", especially when playing the idle, aimless young men. It seems that the public wasn't ready for such a movie.at that time. Maybe a remake would be a hit ??

I really loved 'Lakshya' though..

Very under rated! His acting skills are actually fab. Bhaag Milkha Bhaag, Zindagi na milegi dobara ! He's very talented actor

I wish he directs more movies. He's made 2 of my most favorite Bollywood films !

how can one forget lakshya amazing music, superb direction, lovely story and the lead on the guitar which was used later on " rock on" theme. am glad he made the song out of that tune.

lakshya, dil chahta hai are my favorite movies forever. lakshya gaves me memories of my father and sacrifice of army people..

What a candid interview Farhan....thumbs up!! Never knew Lakshay was an unsuccessful project, commercially!. I found it to be one of the better movies especially in its genre but also in general.

This man is so passion-driven, nothing seems to faze him. Thanks for some great snippets into his life.

I think this elder sister telling their younger brother they're adopted is more common than i thought. My sister used to say "tum pade huay miley thhe or darwaze par koi chhod gaya tha or kachre mein...i still call her for advice about girls tho....hamesha break up hota hai uske baad haha...she gives me an insight into the evil minds of girls who really can be evil in a much more sinister way than guys

Why Lakshya didn't do well? Because of its speed. Army based movies should have the speed. Things should happen one after another. People don't want to sit and look at the beautiful snowy mountains, animals eating the grass. Attacks were happening from Indian side. Didn't get to see the Pakistan side. Hrithik was good as usual. Bad hairstyle and outfit choices for Preity Zinta. They made her look odd not cute.

Dude, kids are mean. I thought it was just my siblings who said crazy things.
