@@mrmoney9822 Like many russian songs, it was used by many factions in the civil war, the composer however was a volunteer in the red army, Vasilij Agapkin was a communist. The reason it was used by the Czars is that it is not political in origin but merely patriotic. It is absolutely not an anticommunist song.
