I love that we can see a glimpse of Mari outside of Sunny‘s idealised perspective of her. While she still likes to tease Hero, we also can see and hear her getting embarrassed/flustered at her own cheesy line „what‘s cooking, good looking“ or the fact that she confides in Hero saying that she is tired. In the game we never got to see Mari‘s flaws or insecurities or quirks since Sunny isn‘t really capable of processing it.

The attention to detail is amazing. Hero isn't actually super charismatic like headspace would have you believe. That's just how Sunny viewed him. All the interactions in this series feel so realistic. It doesn't feel like acting. It just feels like you took real recordings from actual kids. Conversations are paced weirdly and doesn't feel planned but that's what makes it so good (also really just wanna see more of these since they're just really wholesome to watch)

Ah, Heromari content to wash away my sorrows, at least until the Faraway Logs gets to where it needs to get. AMAZING content like always, thanks for doing such a great series!

When someone's been able to make a character's to seem real, like if it would seem from your POV in an early age before growing up and tech not as advanced, you'd relate to this so much. Erm.. Seeing this video and have seen the past ones, it brings nostaliga and a sense of peace we had at one point in our lifes, and I want to thank you for reminding of that peace.

*Laughs, cries, throws phone- Another awesome video. Knowing what’s going to happen hurts, but these logs really reinforce the game’s message about good memories being precious. Like others have pointed out, the nostalgia of the format adds so much. It captures a happier, simpler time in Omori but also the childhoods of the people who grew up in the 90s or 2000s. The mood is immersive. The quality and consistency of these vids are wonderful. Keep up the great work!

THIS IS SO CLEVER OH MY GOD The scenery is made through Blender, and it uses animated planes with the characters to give the illusion of reality mixed up with fiction, THIS IS SO COOL!!! Absolute props for creating something as amazing as this, you have insane talent!!

I loved this so much, the way you can see Aubrey chasing Kel, Mari and Hero talking about Sunny's birthday, Mari humming the duet, Hero's canon " Heyy ", And Mari 's "What's cookin, good lookin?" are all so cute. I really love all those details and Easter eggs. I really hope to see Basil's animated design of his whole self, and not from the waist down. I really really love the series.

Fun fact, this is the second time I'm remembering about this channel once it hasn't posted in a while, and then, before I know it, there is a video in the next few days ! I always love to see those video, it's really well made and it make you feel like your watching authentic video from omori Childhood. This is truly a masterpiece.

This is the most wholesome, genius Omori content i've seen on youtube it's just so adorable, all the characters are so full of personnality and life and the dynamic they have is also really cute, especially Aubrey/Sunny and Mari/Hero, plus so many detail make this seem so real like Hero ankwardly filming his legs instead of whats happening around him or the ankward movements they do I cant wait to see more of this series its so refreshing to see normal cutesy tape videos for games and i hope we'll get to see some of the more unexplored relations between the cast like Kel/Mari or Basil/Hero Best Omori stuff on youtube in my opinion

0:16 is a reference to the OMORI trailer where MARI is heard humming the Final Duet theme. Aside from that detail, I liked the moment between Hero and Mari where they just tease each other. However, for some reason. There seem to be random letters in parentheses that appear periodically in the subtitles. No idea why. This could lead to another ARG.

basil going through the videos, and finding this one: "Aww man, i forgot to cut the recording, i should just tra- oh? oh wait... Hero? ... (the part where hero gets fancy with mari's name) *"I'm adding this to favorites"*

I miss this series

I can't tell you how incredibly accurate you captured that 90s feel... The moments like this are just so jarring for me. The incident with Mari that made that feeling forever dissipate. A feeling that would dissipate for everyone later down the line in 2001. Fuck.

Can I just say this has to be the best Omori fan project I've ever seen🤯 Everything looks so on point and pretty, the voice actors did an outstanding job they sound exactly how I imagined the characters to sound like! The shakiness of the camera and sound quality gives of such a nostalgic vibe! It really looks like something a bunch of kids would record and upload on here lol. Well this was as beautifully made and adorable as the previous ones. The choice of tune Mari hummed was a nice touch. Makes me wonder how Omori's story would have gone if Basil did more videos than photos. Like imagine if the reveal about the truth behind Mari's death was done via video clips, you could here stuff like Mari & Sunny's argument, Sunny & Basil crying and panicking about the predicament and more. Sounds like a neat idea for a what if fic or mod. Are you interested in making Faraway Logs that take place after the 4 year time skip? I'm curious to see how the current day cast would look and sound in this style of video series.

I'm only planning to focus on the past headcanon/canon timelines! As for the 4 year timeskip, it might just be snippet. A separate entertainment media from faraway logs. As of now, I have no plans to make the present timelines!! Thank you for the words!

This channel and the Faraway Logs are so criminally underrated. All these videos feel so authentic, real, and make you feel warm inside. As someone who's played the full game, seeing these videos come closer and closer to the incident fills me with such anxiety, and I cannot wait to see if we ever reach that point or not in these videos. Kudos to jayck34 and the VA's for their incredible work in these masterpieces!

Came here to say that I rarely comment on these types of videos, but I can refrain from just talking about how well made and cool these are. It's an awesome project and the perfect thing to watch after finishing the game, which I did around a month ago!

Honestly this is one of the best fanworks i have ever seen and it can literally have a label slapped on it and be sold as extras for the game or be an official series of sort, only gripes are basils voice which i got over pretty quick and the art style looking just a bit off from the official, which is fine as its limited by the artist. Please wherever you are, continue it or atleast make a follow-up. This is like the only time id consider something fan-made canon or atleast close to it

Hey, first I just wanna say that this series is handled so well in terms of it being really authentic in pretty much every way. Though not something worked on by Omocat herself, this expands the art style in a different way and is done to a degree to where its unique. I really dig the idea of replacing the photo album with a camcorder since the game itself hints to it being set in a time at least where cell phones didn't really exist and lets us look at the memories through a different perspective. Clever if you asked me. That leads me to voice actors/ animation. From one animator to another this is some pretty great stuff! Genuinely fits the style of the cutscenes in game. The cast does a pretty great job and their design really fits their voice as well as their acting! I should have used this clip for a project when I did a presentation on believable character acting in school! Really great job. The effects looked really authentic I thought at first it was live action until I realized it was a 3D background which also a fabulous job on merging 2D images with 3D. Since I'm still youngish, born in 2005 meant I had 5 years before culture really changed with newer tech. I'm not sure if it was me or anyone else, but until like 2012 we grew up like if it was still 1995 with a tv from the 80s, vhs tapes lying around, antique paintings, an atari and ofc a camcorder. Long story short feels like this series was ripped straight from 90's home video. One critique is "Something" glitches takes me out of it a bit but now I'm just being nitpicky. Sorry for the ramble, but I can't help but be extremely impressed with this project :D Also you don't have to respond back but what software's did you use? Yes I'm getting ideas lmao

im so glad i always use subtitles when watching videos. TerminalMontage has taught me well /lh seriously, though, this episode was a joy to watching. got pretty much all the secrets im aware of from this, so ill be waiting for the next patiently, whenever that time may be.
