What freedom ? The freedom of being banned from living and working wherever you liked in the EU ? The freedom to pay taxes&customs costs on stuff you buy from abroad ? The freedom of losing customers in the EU because of taxes&costs ? The freedom of no longer being able to meet other young people with Erasmus ? The freedom of being fined or jailed if you're caught in a demonstration that was deemed too loud ? The freedom to get a pint with a crown etched on it ? Those freedoms... Frostie must be effing joking. 🤬🤬 🤬 I had 15 fantastic years working 99% in the Netherlands and 1% the UK. I feel sorry for people who no longer have the freedom of movement. That's not just an economic reality but a cultural one too. What also makes the failure of Brexit clear is that the vote happened nearly 6 years ago and the government is still talking as if there was no notice or time to plan anything. Seems they read the agreement like most people do the Ts and Cs of a piece of software they are about to install on a computer. He scrolled to the end and checked wrong box. All that is left is their xenophobia.

The purpose of the debate from Farange's point of view is to solve the problem with the existing material, Clegg's goal is to be right by blaming the existing material but does not offer any solution to the problem. In short, Farange addresses a rational critical audience, Clegg addresses the sheep to win votes. Farange proposes solutions, Clegg proposes himself, the "savior" who holds justice in his name. @@thetruth9210 what a ridiculous argument it doesn't matter at all how old a country is or who used to own the territory otherwise your argument means you also don't recognise any African nation and they should all still be european colonies. It doesn't matter if people in crimea and the Donbas want to be a part of Russia, those people are free to live in Russia or vote to become independent and if they can't win then they can't wage a guerilla war waiting for Russia to invade the rest of ukraine. Many people in Barcelona and catalonia want independence from Spain, doesn't mean they should bomb and attack other Spaniards

  • @anotherhappylanding4746

@@thetruth9210 nope still ridiculous because Russia has recognised ukraine as a country so they are essentially attacking a country that they and the world have recognised. Also let's not pretend the civil war in the donbas is some heroic fight for freedom from ukraines tyranny It wasn't even the people in those regions protesting, it was for the most part it was Russian backed separatists and nationalists. Let also not pretend that they went into the donbas to protect people because if that was the case why are they attacking the rest of ukraine and bombing apartments and hospitals. That's just you spewing the same reasons as putin. It also does notatter if the country is relatively new, it also does not matter if there is horrific corruption and problems in the country, that is for ukraine to sort out for itself it doesn't give Russia the right to invade. If you think this is OK because the territory has been disputed for a long time surely you think Russia should invade and take back every eastern European country including parts of Poland since that was all the Russian empires territory before ww1. As for your point insinuating that the west and nato are aggressive against Russia and they are simply defending themselves. Well Nato don't threaten Russia without good reason to first and its usually because they pull shit like this and poison people with nerve agents abroad etc. Maybe Russia wouldn't have to worry about Nato etc if they became a democracy and not under some dictatorship. But arguing with you is pointless because you say the invasion is justified and that ukraine isn't a country so...

At least you can commend when someone is being honest. Everybody knows that geopolitics is a game of profit and power. It's been this way since humanity's inception. British were always brilliant at politics, cunning, sly. But running about claiming "this is not a game, we save lives here" is such a two-face act of bull$hit which only neocons can wave around. Nobody believes that, especially political figures. It's annoying to watch them talk about freedom, love and democracy all the time, when their job is to make sure their own country is the only true real power in the neighborhood. The latter is ok, the former is just disgusting. If you want to make your country strong, don't wiggle around acting like you're Jesus.

Before Hungary, Romania and Bulgaria joined the EU R….a freely traded with them, after they joined the EU they cut off free trade with R….a. This example is true of all the Eastern European States that Joined the EU. R….a is cut out of Free trade even with its closest neighbours, R….a is being blockaded and contained by the Trade Arrangement required by EU membership. If Ukraine was also to join the EU then this would be yet another Economic sanction made against R….a. NATO just protects the position and practice of these Countries, NATO is not the source of the problem, the trading relationship is the Source and Origin of this conflict. We can argue that R….a was not militarily provoked but they certainly were economically provoked. The expansion of the EU is a direct threat to R….a. Why should the US go to war over the expansion of the “EU Empire” after all even the US is not given free access to Trade in the EU

I am sick of people saying that immigrants go to England to do what English people don’t want to do. First time I went to England for holiday I liked so much that I wanted to stay even if I had sleep on the streets, I was only 17 years old and I had to go back to my country to start university. I went back some time later. I lived, worked, studied and made good friends in England. I chose England because from all the other places in the world I liked England the most even more than my own Country. English people are hardworking people with a heart big as the whole universe and they would do any job better than any immigrant if there were treated right and get a fair payment. How on earth can anyone live a happy life getting minimum wage salary? How can anyone do any hard work for 12 or 14 hours a day with bad work conditions? And then you go to your rent bedroom 1 hour far or more from your job so tired that you can even have social life. If you are in London for example you pay from 80 pounds a very small room. After tax, food, transport, internet, mobile and etc. You end up with nothing! That’s why not just English people but immigrants are not working. I know how they feel, they feel they are slaves! I hope one day people stop saying that immigrants go to England because they do the jobs that English people don’t want to do, or because its easier to get benefits.

Nick Clegg last night was incapable of making an argument without more logical fallacies than original sin. All his arguments where either Ad Hominem attacks, appeals to authority, appeals to fear, appeals to pity or just deliberate strawmen. What don't the 3 parties get - Cameron Clegg Miliband: REFERENDUM or REVOLUTION You pick. One ends with you and the rest of the corporate shills in westminster out of a cushy job at the EU when you get voted out. The other ends with all of you at the end of a rope. What the 3 parties that are really one party have done is treason. By the way, the EU just banned roaming charges. That's a change to our law. So according to Clegg, we legally need a referendum TODAY

Remember the Falklands, the Malvinas have always been Argentina's and at the time the British were considering returning these islands to there rightful owners, however they gave the vote to the people on the islands they voted to stay with Britain not surprising because they mostly British. Its no different for Crimea the same thing has happened so the rest is history. Mr Farage should be the British Prime Minsiter!

Crimea was NEVER part of the Ukraine, before the Russians came over 300 years ago it was populated by tatars, but never did Crimea have a majority of Ukrainians, and it was only given to Ukraine in 1954, when there was a majority of Russian people, it was still a majority of Russian people there in 1960, in 1980, in 1990, in 2000, in 2014 and now, in 2022. And with the Falklands: the first undisputed landing was in 1690, a British Captain John Strong explored the islands. After that it was claimed also by France, later by Spain. It was unihabited until around the napoleon wars when Argentina tried to claim it, but it was a mutiny in 1832, which led to the British reassurted British rule. Since then it has been British. That`s now nearly 200 years ago, time to call it a day. If every country should claim land that they once owned there would be a war between nearly every country in the whole world, as borders of course has changed a lot over the years.

Nick Clegg tries to create an emotional response from the audience and then direct these negative emotions towards Farage. Farage is trying to win by expressing a logical point of view. Farage wins over the logically thinking audience, Clegg over those whose thoughts are more easily swayed with emotion. Great video.
