Farage is Putin Apologist, Ex-Chancellor Philip Hammond Says

Former UK Chancellor of the Exchequer, Philip Hammond called Reform Leader, Nigel Farage a 'Russian apologist' for saying that Moscow was provoked into war with Ukraine. He also discussed the deepening gambling revelations reported by the Sunday Times, alleging a senior Conservative official made dozens of bets with bookmakers that Sunak would call a July election. He joined Bloomberg's Lizzy Burden and Tom Mackenzie on "The Pulse with Francine Lacqua."

This would be typical of Hammond, his party is on the sinking ship & it’s going down fast: the command from the captain Sunak-abandon ship🤣. The old man Hammond destroyed the UK economy when he was chancellor and now when your drowning, you get very desperate and say many things when you know the next PM will be Farage!!!🙏

Farage is NOT as corrupted as the others! For EVERY commission of arms or cash to Ukraine, there are BONUSES for the politicians who voted for it! CITIZENS are squeezed of their money that could be invested in the country infrastructure, education and health care.

The challenge is that it is not easy to reform a centrally controlled democracy. There are no spontaneous experiments and there is no incentive to solve the long-term problems either on the part of politicians or voters.

Russia was ready to end the war and withdraw its troops in exchange for Ukrainian neutrality just a few months after the invasion began and was refused partly because of ex-British PM Boris Johnson, who pressured Kyiv into continuing the fight, according to David Arahamiya, the leader of Ukraine’s ruling party. The lawmaker is not only leading the parliamentary faction of Zelensky’s Servant of the People party but was also appointed as the head of the Ukrainian delegation during the initial, tentative peace talks in March and April, hosted by Turkey. Russia’s ultimate goal was to press Ukraine into neutrality, Arahamiya explained, adding that all other requests (like the elusive ‘de-Nazification’) were essentially empty cosmetics, and neutrality would have been enough for Russia to agree to withdraw beyond the February 24th frontlines.

I have never really been a Conservative voter, but at the same time I do see that everyone is an individual in their own right. With that thought in mind, I think Lord Hammond makes some reasonable points and to be quite honest I don't think that he's too unhappy about the prospect of Keir Starmer as Prime Minister - obviously wouldn't really be his first choice, but he's realistic and obviously has enough intelligence to realise that there are much worse options So, let's just see what Keir and Labour can bring to the table.
