This is a fabulous song sung seamlessly through her all registers that not many singers can do ! The music video is visually and differently presented , it's more pop-like and great to see ! You must remember Faouzia writes all these songs and her lyrics are so relatable to her audience ! I think she was only. 16 when she wrote this ! I would suggest "Tears of Gold" stripped version not the concert one but her just sitting down with twinkle lights behind her ! This will give you her full vocal abilities and passion ! Faouzia is Moroccan born and raised in Canada ! Speaks three languages, plays three instruments and is just completing her engineering degree at University ! She is the real deal ! One to watch for sure ! Thank you for this gem and please explore other songs to get her true abilities that are certainly unique in the Pop realm today ! 👍🇨🇦❤️❤️

Good review but you should definitely check out "Tears of Gold" from her live stripped concert. She shows a lot of colors and sides of her voice., as well as her beautiful song writing skills.

I always try to be! Even if that means sometimes the viewers don’t like it! Tears of Gold was much better.

By Faouzia's standards, this song's arrangement is very bland - so I agree with your critique...although I do love this song for the vocals, power, and emotions. You won't find this issue with her other songs, as her arrangements are typically surprisingly exciting and unique. I recommend checking out "Bad Dreams (Stripped)" and "How It All Works Out (Stripped)". For something live, check out "Elon", which she performs AFTER the credits of her "Stripped Concert".

From my perspective as a Faouzia fan for a few years and someone who has watched hundreds of Faouzia reactions, I'd say that "Tears of Gold (Stripped)" is Faouzia's 'signature' song to this point in her young career. I personally prefer the official video version (which seems to be the MOST loved) over the live concert version, but I'll leave links for both versions. Faouzia is from Canada, even though born in Morocco. She left Morocco when she was 1 year old. Her citizenship is Canadian.

I understand your criticism on this song and it climaxing to early and becoming repetitive by the end but it's good for a self taught first timer I think.
