"What outlook on life and feeling of life could have created the convincing religiosity of our grandmothers, and great-grandmothers? What was the mood of their identity, how did they experience the Baroque folk cult of the 18th century? In my film, I try to display the answer with a kind of postmodern contemplation. The answer that means nothing more than attachment to home, attachment to origin, mystical attraction to the sacred place. The middle piece of my three-part short film with music by Sándor Szokolay and Benedetto Marcello is an intuitive and atmospheric illustration of a bygone age, a sense of life that once had a defining and identity-forming power in rural society."
Milyen életszemlélet, életérzés hozhatta létre nagyanyáink, dédanyáink, ükanyáink meggyőződéses vallásosságát? Milyen volt identitásuk hangulata, hogyan élték meg a 18. század barokk népi Mária-kultusztát? Filmemben egyfajta posztmodern kontemplációval próbálom megjeleníteni a választ. A választ ami nem jelent mást, mint kötődést az otthonhoz, ragaszkodást az eredethez, misztikus vonzódást a szent helyhez. Három részes rövid filmem középső darabja Szokolay Sándor és Benedetto Marcello muzsikájával intuitív és hangulati illusztrálása egy letűnt kornak, annak az életérzésnek, ami egykor meghatározó és identitásképző erővel bírt a vidék társadalmában.
