My sister & I spent every Saturday night for years with our beloved grandpa in his apartment. We’d go to the corner store & pick out treats then sit on these floor cushions & watch love boat & fantasy island. I miss my grampa so much. Beautiful wholesome memories

Truth. 1984 was peak America. I miss it.

Ricardo Montalban...prince among men. No one will ever be better than him, and this show.

This show always reminds me of Mom. We always watched it and Love Boat together when everyone (except for my little sister were out playing music). I watched a two hour long episode of Love Boat yesterday (Mother’s Day) in her honor so tonight it’s Fantasy Island. ❤️

I watched Fantasy Island and Love Boat with my mom too. We would curl up on the couch together.

I loved seeing Sandra Dee in this. Such a talented and beautiful lady. It's so sad she went through all the problems that she did in real life and experienced so much pain. RIP, Sandra.

Beautiful island fantasy Island I wish I was there in right now.

I always sensed something sinister in Mr. Roarke. The "better be careful for what you wish for because you might get it" axiom seemed to play in most of the plots. Even though the stories worked out well in the end, the characters learned that what they originally wanted wasn't as good as what they learned in the end.

I always thought Mr. Roarke was a Djinn, some of them have a soft spot for humans. That was how he could grant all the fantasies (wishes), and there was always a warning before you got your fantasy, and only after that did the guests learn the lesson the hard way.

I loved the updated bungalows along with the updated terrace off of Mr. Roarks office.

This was a staple when I was a kid in television. Loved it so much! This episode with the bald guy makes me laugh

Stella is now in a nursing home - her long time partner died recently too. Ron Ely a widower after their 30 year old son stabbed his mother to death & he was shot by police. And Sandra Dee's life..sad end too. Herve ended up ending his own life. The infamous messy life of Tori Spelling. At least Ricardo & his wife stayed married ( had 4 children) & lived into their 80s. Maybe this episode had a curse on it! Or - that's just Hollywood!

I think she played in a final season episode. She was the little girl, looking for God. George Kennedy played the role.

I used to watch that plane land on the water and wish I could fly that plane. I wish I had learned to fly small crafts. Landing a plane on water would be awesome. Like flying and boating, all in one.

This episode was worth it just to see Ron Eli in action again

Ron Ely Tarzan was in this episode. 🦧 playing a great Bond parody.

This episode reminds me "the man with the golden gun" and tattoo was one of the villians

Wet or dry, Randi Oakes looks magnificent in a solid colored one piece bathing suit at the 5:52 mark, this is a fabulous Fantasy Island classic from 1982, P.S. I love those hula dancers at the beginning!

I just watch them because I like them. I'm not actually reliving anything but I think maybe some people are because it gives them a break from their daily woes. It lets them travel back to a more carefree time in their life. Hey, we all need a little mental vacation now and again, right??!! 😁👍👍

Fantasy Island was just that, a fantasy for us ordinary mortals to watch and escape reality for a while. Mr Roarke was a great character but could be rather sinister at times.

I love this show.

I don't think she was even 40 years old at the time. Anorexia is a terrible thing, you can see it in her face. I've worked with people who have this affliction and they all have a haunted look in their faces.
