Fantastically Great Women Who Changed The World ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
In this vlog I visit The Lowry to see Fantastically Great women That changed The World the musical. The production was on in the Quays theatre which is the small theatre inside the Lowry. I went to the shows press night which took place on Thursday 7th December, the show started at 7.30pm, and was 80 minutes with no interval. I sat in the stalls Row C seat 11 and the view was amazing and there was plenty of legroom. I thought the show was brilliant and I definitely recommend this show, the show is aimed more at children I'd say 8+ but I really enjoyed it as an adult and would definitely see it again.
The smash hit kickass-pirational pop musical FANTASTICALLY GREAT WOMEN WHO CHANGED THE WORLD, based on the award-winning picture book by suffragette descendant Kate Pankhurst and published by Bloomsbury, bursts to life on UK tour this winter 2023/24, following a world premiere ar MAST Mayflower Studios in November 2021 and a successful UK tour with summer seasons at Theatre Royal Stratford East and Edinburgh Festival Fringe 2022.
Join our inquisitive heroine Jade as she breaks away from her class to take a peek behind the scenes at the not yet open Gallery of Greatness in the local museum. Along her journey she is surprised to meet the incredible wonder women: Frida Kahlo, Rosa Parks, Amelia Earhart, Marie Curie, Emmeline Pankhurst to name just a few.
From explorers to artists, scientists to secret agents, hear the stories of some of history’s strongest mothers, sisters and daughters; all independent icons who really did change the world.
Celebrated dramatist Chris Bush (Standing at the Sky's Edge) and Number 1 hit songwriter Miranda Cooper (Girls Aloud, Kylie Minogue) adapt suffragette descendant Kate Pankhurst’s awarding-winning picture book with music by Miranda Cooper and Jennifer Decilveo (Miley Cyrus, Beth Ditto) and is directed by Amy Hodge (Mr Gum and the Dancing Bear National Theatre).
One of the shows' producers Kenny Wax (responsible for the likes of SIX) comments: "What a thrill to have assembled our own team of fantastically great women to create this incredible show. No one is more excited than me for the curtain to rise on that first performance. And what an honour to be opening at the Mast, Mayflower Studios who are making a commitment to premiering such daring new work."
FANTASTICALLY GREAT WOMEN WHO CHANGED THE WORLD is an empowering new stage show which will be celebrated by anyone who is prepared to move and be moved, with characters and songs that pack a popstar punch!
