MrGabeanator The movie is a moderately mature, extremely witty, and stylistically excellent film that this trailer makes to look like a cheap, disposable, Minions-esque, keep-the-kids-entertained-for-90-minutes exercise in mediocrity. Otherwise the trailer's fine.

@@4tchilling956 trust me, it really doesn't match. From the tone, to the music choice. It just feels off. The trailer makes the movie appear quite up beat and chaotic when it really isn't, this movie is clever and well put together. And don't even get me started on the voiceover, it's just ridiculous. Looks more like some quick, cash-in, money grab if you've only seen the trailer. I remember watching this as a kid and after viewing it now I can say without a doubt, that it's far more enjoyable as an adult.

This film was robbed at the oscars.

This is why it was a box office failure. Parents didnt allow kids to see it because it had smoking drinking a violence, teenagers and adults who arent wes anderson fans didnt see it because it was advertised as a kids movie. It was so amazing though!

This will always remain my favorite film of all time. It’s so perfect and brings a lot of nostalgia.

The saddest part of this film is when Mrs Fox slaps Mr Fox and he starts to tear up. I'm 32 and that hit me right in the chest.

Oh I love this movie and it was a perfect stop motion animation created by a artistic director, Wes Anderson. It may be the classic like "Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory," but this one is fantastic adaptation I remember watching this movie in a quiet limited theater and it was so good. The story is about Mr. Fox and his family gather around to steal chickens and food, but these three hunters are trying to kill them and Mr. Fox's brilliant idea is to keep them and his animal friends stay underground while they're planning to steal food and all that stuff. The animation looks good and it was done by Anderson who knows how to set quality for one set of the cinematography and the creatures look cool and the cast were great including George Clooney is awesome as Mr. Fox. The film does sticks closely to the Roald Dahl's adaptation and clearly they said its for adults because children wanted to see a better a family film than this. But it's for everyone to enjoy. Classic film.

Sounding smart is an honorable and hard-to-master art (that's why I'm subscribed to Nerdwriter1). Though actually being smart for real is okay I guess.

One of our favourites! Wes Anderson's beautiful stop-motion animated film. Love everything about it: the tone, the concept, fantastic art, music, acting (George Clooney& Meryl Streep were incredible!!). Watched it in the cinema at least twice& few times on TV.

I'm so cussing excited about the Criterion release of this film.

Great movie, I wish I saw it in theaters, but I just saw it recently. My 11 year-old self at the time decided to see Alvin and the Chipmunks instead :/

THE BEST MOVIE OF ALL TIME

I was really small at that time, and I couldn't even understand what they said, but one thing I loved was their animation. Now, when I rewatch this, I just fall in love with this again, it's so nostalgic. My childhood was literally all over “Horton hears a who!” and “Fantastic Mr.Fox”. ❤️

this is still my favorite movie of all time. i have watched this about 100 times over and over. it's a perfect film

They're not "graphics". This is pure, old-school, stop-motion wonderfulness. If you don't like it, that's just fine. But it was made the way it is for a reason. Stop-motion styled filming is an art of it's own. And I find it wonderful. To each their own!

I had to watch this in the 8th grade! Which really isn't that long ago.. It was absolutely amazing!

Came back to this 9 yrs later after watching in cinemas 9 yrs ago. Bunch of nostalgia

Eri Pena well, considering Fantastic Mr. Fox was a financial failure when it came out, it’s safe to say the attempt to make it look “profitable” failed. Miserably.

nostalgia. Remember watching this when I was a kid. I think I didn't finish watching it because it's kind of disturbing and I understand nothing. But I also love the background because it's quite comforting. Would love to watch this soon again. Sadly it's still underrated. I think I watched this one on a tape or in our TV (by using a usb).

Saw this with my kids as an adult and I just loved it. Thank the creators for going through the tortuous pain of stop motion to give us such a fun and stylized film.

Flgator s' this movie gets every note right and is such a pleasure to watch. Another great movie is Mary and Max.

For people saying it's ugly and stop motion can look better, while it may sound pretentious, you dont simply get it. Wes Anderson has always had an aesthetic to his films and this is no exception. The wide shots, the close ups and the overheads are all part of his vision. For example, most stop motion films use a certain type of plastic for hair, this uses actual fur. Wes Anderson knew this would look weird and loved it.

I remember watching this movie with my family :)

this is such a great film. My family loves it. Even my friends love it.

The movie has some GREAT moments. My favorites are when they're rescuing Kristofferson and when they saw the wolf. The background music is just epic.
