Love the hidden lift...but for sure would want some kind of either easy escape route out of it, or a 100 percent sure fire way of contacting emergency services if something went wrong with it while I was in it and the bookcase was closed :P Also the swimming pool that leads into the room...if that's the pool 'shed/entertainment' room...fine...but Not directly into my house....not unless there's a way to lock up that tunnel so no one could ever use it to get into my home if I'm gone or alone. :P

Some cool ideas, but not worth the expense for an ordinary person. My experience with technology is things break - and if that means your door won’t open, your tv won’t appear etc you’ll just wish you hadn’t bothered!

Personally I think it's pathetic

imagine playing hide and seek in a house with a bunch of secret rooms as the seeker, if your the house owner, you know the best hiding spots to check *However* if your a hider *you know the places to hide no one else might know yet*

I would love to have a secret room that runs on green energy. I have to wonder what happens to those secret rooms when the power goes out, especially the car lift. Hope they have an alternate exit.

The garbage can one is so cool. Such a necessity but an eyesore. That is a great solution.

i very like the car box ^^ ! This avoids digging a ramp for the garage and therefore losing surface space .

I think having hidden latches that are moved by a strong magnet would be cool. The bathroom mirror seemed to do that when he touched the side of the mirror with the little box.

When you have guests or having a party and the toilet is hidden 😂😂

depends on the security of your surrounding ... gated community, own island, great high security troops etc plus no one of us know if there is more protection like a electronic device ... with a gate under water which is shut down when needed

If I ever become rich, I want to build my home with doors that access my plumbing. To me that just makes since. Easy access to it means I can see the pipes, I can see any leaks, my wall does not become compromised, destroyed to get to the pipes. Had a bathroom where the plumber broke a couple of tiles. He replaced them with similar looking ones but they never matched. They stood out. Give the plumber a door to the pipes and it will not happen again.

Do pipes inside walls break that often? I feel like if they ever do it's like once a decade where it's just worth tearing out the wall and just replacing tiles over dedicating that much space to just pipe maintenance. Or just have an access panel on the other side of the bathroom or something IDK

@@darkwoodmovies - no but if you knew me you’d know my luck. It’s not the whole house just the plumbing in the bathroom. There would be a closet behind the shower- maybe for clothes or for storage (Towels, sheets). Pull on it to reveal the pipes behind the tub so they can be checked from time to time. If you’ve ever had a water leak you know the damage a leak can cost. Get it early and save myself a months worth of drying out walls, replacing walls and pipes. To date I, luckily most happened in rentals but lately we bought a home and oh the fun. 4 radiators in rooms, a water tank in the laundry room and one in the garage. A water leak in an upstairs bathroom and replacing the whole water main from street to house. So wanting to see pipes seems like it is not a bad investment.

The car lift is a terrible idea. Tiny space and very hard to navigate it. Any malfunction and your car gets to fall 6-8 feet down... hard.
