Because it's from a French release of the film. They did release the Disney films in foreign countries. I'm curious, is this a French-language version of the 1982 release? Because that's when they did the Kostal-dubbed soundtrack.

If it is a French version of the film and contains the Irwin Kostal arrangements as opposed to the original Stokowski musical arrangments, why does it contain the "restored" version (the footage that resembles that of the VHS and Laserdisc release from November 1991)? I heard they used duplicate negatives for the re-releases of the film, not sure if they do that for the movie theater re-releases of other Disney films.
