Well I mean, the OG wolverine died in 2029. Deadpool movies take place present day, so it was possible for the classic version to appear.

Well the ending is technically open to interpretation. Because there was a scene at the end where his claws popped up.

Hugh Jackman said himself that he doesn't understand why they didn't give him the yellow suit before. He's happy he gets to finally wear it because that's who Wolverine is. That's what he looks like. So no complaints here from me.

I have better things to do than rage about an imaginary character created to entertain me. I'd say the fans are worse than the critics. Sure, some critics are crazy biased and not very professional, but most are just people giving their honest opinion on movies. So many fans, however, have an agenda they're ALWAYS trying to push. Like you said, they just get mad at everything nowadays. It's exhausting.

You can’t get that mad they prepared us for it before any of this started… it is what it is at the end of the day…as long as we have Hugh Jackman back it shouldn’t matter… I like that they’re doing this. It’s just another version and we get to see his story. Our Logan finished his story… there’s more pros than cons!

I waited 23 years for Wolverine in those suit done right . I love X-men and Hugh as Wolverine but I could give two shits about the Logan time line or story . Real fans my ass

It is understandable that Jackman and so many fans are protective of Logan's ending. The movie had the perfect conclusion to Jackman's journey as the character, with Wolverine's sacrifice and X-23 turning the cross on his grave into an "X" to represent the X-Men being extremely emotional. Resurrecting Wolverine, like many thought would be the case if he ever came back, would undercut the emotion of the moment. The Deadpool & Wolverine theory presents the perfect way for how the MCU could use Logan while keeping its beloved ending as special as it was meant to be.

They’re all the versions that won’t wear the yellow suit, yet this one does, but then refuses to actually wear the symbolic Wolverine mask he’s supposed to be wearing during battle.

I always thought it would’ve been funny if Hugh Jackman was playing an amnesia ridden X-24 that was tricked by Deadpool into thinking he was the real Wolverine.

umm why are fans pissed off about this? it was literally conformed by the director 2 months ago that this won't affect the ending of logan and is a variant of wolverine. which is not the same one from logan or the entire x-men series.

Well, if we have multiple universes with the possibility of multiple variants then it doesn’t matter to me. That’s kind of the point, right? There are variants we know nothing about because they haven’t been introduced yet. I think it’s a good idea not to mess with an established variant because we know their stories. It cheapens things if we change the end to Logan and the fate of that Wolverine.

If they did the same thing with daredevil and tobey and Andrew I’d be pissed . But with Wolverine I understand they don’t want to ruin Logan and the original x men Wolverine wouldn’t wear the classic yellow suit so what other option could they do lol?

I never cared what version of Wolverine this was going to be. The X-Men timeline’s been complete and total confusing nonsense for like 10 years now anyway. This could be a full comic Logan, he met and fought with the howling commandos in World War Two, he was sent by the military to fight Hulk, he went to Wakanda for Storm’s wedding to T’Challa, etc.

Wolverine is gonna get the Loki treatment.

Now that you bring it up, I think Electro is different in No Way Home bc that TASM Spider-Man isn't the Andrew Garfield Spidey we know. Different universe. And so what? It still works. Wolverine is going to be just fine. We got to get Wolverine an Jackman didn't have to step on anything he's done in the past win win. Every single character we've seen is a variant. But in the context, of Earth 199999, no, they aren't variants of the 199999 universe. They are variants of another universe within the Multiverse. They exist in a separate universe, not in direct branching of 199999. Basically they're not from any universes that Loki is holding.

This Wolverine is the Wolverine from the original trilogy when the time was reset in Days of Future Past.

All of us Wolverine fans are pissed that it’s not the Wolverine we all know but we think of the big picture the only one who can fuckin play him is Hugh Jackman and he came back to play him

The main X-Men movies don't have a branched continuity. The end of DoFP when they all fade out of existence literally confirms this. Unless they retcon it so that the TVA came and pruned them, it doesn't make sense. This is an MCU variant that just so happens to also look like Hugh Jackman, same as Xavier and Beast. The Deadpool movies exist in their own continuity that runs parallel to the MCU.

@@SeanWheeler100 That's a good point. Them not having a branched timeline caused all of the problems with the continuity of that franchise. I still consider the Deadpool movies to be their own separate "meta" universe which disregards the rules.

Incursions and having timelines merge has more consequences.

They literally show at least 2 branches of continuity in the X-men movies. Original and First Class. The fade outs in DoFP is the mind transfer gimmick showing branching timelines that lead to their deaths, and their self pruning of those branching timelines. It does not in anway prove that branching continuity doesn't exist, especially when the franchise has specificly pointed out it does have at least 2 timelines and that they branched in the 70's.

IDK what version of Logan he is. I always felt that as much as we love Wolverine fox couldn't do him justice because of the PG-13 no blood. Logan was the closest to the comic version. This new version will be the closest to the comic version. grouchy. Violent. Ruthless. Feral. Cutthroat.
