Fanatics is garbage how they run sports merchandise market its killed going to stores to pick up a jersey or a hat. The merchandise that Fanatics puts out has little to no product control and its really terrible quality. I'm glad the Blackhawks run their own store not Fanatics because threw the Blackhawks store you are able to get exclusive New Era branded stuff for the Blackhawks that you can't get from the NHLshop which is Fanatics. I wish Fanatics would be stop from the monopoly they've built

You had me at the title. As someone who has collected countless hockey jerseys for the past 20+ years I can say Fanatics has been the biggest stain not just on jerseys but sports apparel in general. Their site is AWFUL. Their prices are garbage... worst of all their products are trash. I've never seen such garbage materials used when making apparel. Their hats are SO cheap... the cuts of their shirts are unlike any t shirt I've ever worn. The lower half of the sleeve is sewn SO low it feels like you're a flying squirrel when you raise your arms. I've never seen shirts sewn like a fanatics. Their jerseys are obviously terrible like you said. One thing I've noticed this past year is people are buying less fanatics... and you're starting to see them pop up in second hand stores for around $30. As crappy as Fanatics jerseys are... I sometimes find them cheap on ebay for under $50 and I feel like that's where they really should be priced. I can wear them without worrying about them getting messed up at that price. I want nothing more than fanatics to never touch NHL merch again. Adidas aren't doing much better for the sport either with their incredibly inaccurate sizing... weird jersey cuts, and insane pricing. I hope in the next few years we see a shift away from Fanatics into something different. They're destroying sports apparel. :(

Honestly the only jersey maker that people have always said they liked is Reebok and sometimes Nike. Really what needs to happen is if you are going to charge 170$ for a jersey I should be getting a jersey that is high quality and worth the money.

@@limitless_pulls We used to get genuine replicas...we'd have various tiers of jerseys we could get. Cheap ones from big box stores like Walmart like you mentioned for the common fan to enjoy... some replica jerseys that were a middle tier where they looked the part but had cheaper parts like vinyl numbering that satisfied people who wanted a jersey that truly looked the part without the high end premium... and then of course the genuine replica jerseys that were sewn just like the on ice ones with twill lettering/numbering at that premium price. Now we just get a few options.... none that even come close to a genuine replica jersey... Nothing is even made in Canada anymore (the on ice jerseys ARE and it's so tough to get those MICs without paying an insane amount of money). We aren't getting the quality we used to yet we're paying so much more. It sucks!

My Nike pistons swingman jerseys from 2004 are well worn, washed many times and still look new. I have Reebok suns and magic jerseys from the same era, adidas rockets and bucks jerseys, and more - they’re all still in amazing shape. I’d never buy this garbage and I hope people stop it.

I don’t feel bad going for older merch on eBay, especially when I see prices nowadays from Fanatics.

They need to start making jerseys in the USA.

I collect hockey jerseys but also ha e baseball, basketball, soccer and of course football jerseys. I will not be buying 1 fanatic branded jersey. Even their overpriced tee shirts are faded or cracked after 2 washes. F fanatics

I usually buy NBA Swingman jerseys. Usually they run $110-$135 depending on player and brand. It’s been a nightmare for years to buy them. I’m a men’s size 3XL. They make sizes all the way to 5XL, but they are ALWAYS out of stock in my size in the jerseys that I want. It’s like winning the lottery when they actually are in stock. Bro, you know the profit margin on a jersey? For an NBA one that retails for $135, they probably got $10 in it if that. So the profit margin is enormous. You would think you’d be able to get any size any time, especially the older players like Shaq, Kareem, Larry Bird, etc. I was actually looking at Dennis Rodman’s Lakers jersey because I’m a Laker fan, dude all they had it in was small and that’s it. Medium through 5XL was out. No reason for it. They leave truckloads of money on the table every year by not being in stock. It amazes me.

Bought a Jays jersey from them for 130 bucks. Wasn’t stitched, materials were thin and everything was just printed on. I now buy fake jerseys for as little as 8 dollars using an agent service. All stitched. Materials are thick and even side patches are included. Recently purchased a 1992 replica gray jays jersey of Roberto Alomar for 14 bucks, and it’s 10x better than buying the one that cost 130.

A counterfeit jersey is not better. You when you buy counterfeit jerseys from China you know the money from sales is not going to where you think. Its actually going to Sex Trafficking Rings,Alqida/ISIS,Kim Jong Un & Drug Cartels. Also,when you buy its a act of treason.

Everything they sell is trash. I just a nfl twin bed in a bag for $80 that only included a pillowcase and a trash cheaply made comforter.

Fanatics might have monopolized but many leagues specifically NHL had zero other bidders for the rights who wanted to manufacture jerseys besides fanatics. Think about that, only one company wanted to manufacture NHL jerseys no other company even wanted to put in a counter bid, fanatics was the only company who bid! There is presumably a huge amount of risk making jerseys for a pretty niche sport compared to the other major leagues so they know they can charge whatever they want. They aren’t there to provide

Um can you tell me where you saw that NHL had no other companies who wanted to make jerseys? CCM, Nike, Under Armor, or even Warrior didn't want to make NHL jerseys? Also hockey is not a niche sport, the NHL is part of the big 4. There really isn't that much of a risk for a company like Nike.

We need to stop monopolizing our beloved goods. I don’t mind fanatics manufacturing the cheap jerseys, kids jerseys, or even mid grade jerseys but for them to be the only ones manufacturing and selling them. I would rather spend 180+ if Nike was the one making it and sell them on there store.

Not completely, it's kinda like how Madden monopolized simulation football games.

Simple just buy vintage here, anything from the 80's, 90's and the mid 2000's if it can be helped...The Mitchell & Ness acquisition really hurts because we all know here that in the mid 2000's (2005/06 up to 2010), they made excellent jerseys. The material is thankfully pretty easy to spot, what I call "shiny shine on twill" because even jerseys with painted on numbers and letters can be good if taken care off....There will always be a market for old school or 2nd hand jerseys...Put Fanatics out of business sigh...

Fanatics jerseys are terrible material especially the NHL jerseys they look terrible in Fanatics the Adidas jerseys is way better material sucks that the NHL needs to go back to New Era again for the hats like did they years ago

Fanatics i am sure one of the reasons the Jerseys are made Cheaper are so down the road you have to replace that Jersey. I have a CCM /KOHO Flyers Black from 2001 and still looks good i heard nothing horror stories with Fanatics. I am a Fan of all the Philadelphia teams in sports the Phillies took the numbers off the Sleeves on the Home/ Away Jerseys and the Road now to me looks cheaply made haven't seen the Home yet

I’m at least happy I didn’t get scammed by these A holes and bought an adidas Bob Probert jersey that is sown and not that heat pressed bull spit that rarely holds worth every penny and still looks like new even after a few washes
