  I believe Casey Hampton was a better Nose tackle than Vince. Vince never played on a number one defense or even had a number one ranked run defense. Nose tackle sole purpose is clog shit up and stop the run 😊

  Never said he was great. But doesn't deserve the title of "could never win the big games." It's not like he threw away elimination games. In Elminatiom games Jimmy lost, He has a 2.25 GAA, .941 SV%, and all of them were one score games. Obviously, it's still partially his fault, but the blame also needs to fall on the wings inability to score.

  Jimbo was real solid. His issue was being injury prone. He'd have an incredible first 1/2 of the season, then get injured around the ASG and wouldn't be the same for the rest of the season. Numbers would dip substantially from 1st half. His shootouts became notorious for letting in 5-hole goals. That all being said, if he didn't get injured like every season, he'd have gotten much more credit and success during his career.

  Jimmy was solid, but was an easy scapegoat for the team at the time. Looking back though, it's hard to blame the guy for not being superhuman, and that what it would have took to do more than what he did for you. Sure at any given point in his career, you can look at a handful of guys and say they were clearly better than him, but that was really it until the end and that is so good it's unreal he was just not the best.

  This is simply the nature of professional sports. Unless your a household name, like Brady or Gretzky, every professional athlete will be forgotten in time, overshadowed by the newer generations of players

  Idk about that one. People still talk about Don Kelly. In Indiana People still talk about Jeff Foster, Chris Kramer, and Clark Kellogg. I'm not saying people are forgetting Jimmy Howard, I'm just saying he was underappreciated.

  I think the timelines of Howard’s peak and the Red Wings peaks did not line up. His first couple years were greatly promising, but the team was on its way down as he was coming up. We really should have traded him at some point, maybe sped up the rebuild and see what he could have done at his peak with another team around him. You’re right that goalies are the easy lightning rod when things aren’t going well, and I think people will unfortunately mostly remember his last 2-3 years

  I was kind of young during most of his career so take this with a grain of salt, but i think early is his career, in his early prime stage, when he was putting up really good numbers he was still kind of overshadowed by osgood, he did get his time from 2010-2015ish, but after that point the red wings fell off big time and he wasnt really in his prime anymore, they kept starting him even though he was letting in 4+ goals per game, so i think he was pretty good but maybe shouldve retired a little earlier

  A decent amount of that was the defense being terrible. But ya Jimmy being older didn't help. I also don't want to think about what the alternative to Jimmy Howard in net would've been at that time. (No hate to Jonathan Bernier and Eric Comrie)

  He would make a save that’s out of this world no chance he could have made it yet then very next shot let in an easy save shot. He was inconsistent and a garbage can could be more consistent than he was.

  Haha. GONZAGA was the first team to make Purdue fans nervous??? Did you watch your OWN video?? I have never been more nervous in forty years than during the Gambling State game. Can you remember? The first half we were barely staying ahead of them. I was MUCH less nervous during the Gonzaga game. And I was more nervous during the Tennessee game than the NC State game. I'll let you in on a secret. Zach will exceed all expectations, and Purdue will be a final four threat again. Start acting like we belong there, because we do.

  That's your own personal opinion, I was nervous about the Grambling game. I was nervous about every game. Everyone experiences it differently and has their own concerns. You aren't "letting me in on a secret". I want Zach to do good, I hope he does. I think we can make a final 4 again, Matt Painter is great at building this program up even when we lose guys like Edwards and Ivey.

The reason I mispronounced Nojel Eastern was bc I thought I remembered the PA announcer in Mackey saying it that way. No shit Dakota was a stud. It's not disrespect it's an honest mistake.   Aren’t 1 techs nose tackles? and they play in 4-3 and are still considered DTs

  Yes, 1 techs are usually nose tackles. But no, they are not considered a defensive tackle in a 4-3. DT's and noses are different. Their role in a defensive line is different. DT's are your Deforest Buckner, Aaron Donald, Chris Jones, and those type of dudes. Now you can have both your interior guys in a 4-3 be DT's, kinda like you can have two running backs instead of a running back and a full back. It comes down to how that specific scheme is run.

  Damn so I guess the years I spent making post game reaction videos to Purdue basketball and football never happened. Or all the time my dad and I spent watching Purdue football and basketball. Or even better, when I was the only Purdue fan at my lunch table in school and had to constantly argue with IU fans. I didn't watch all the heartbreaking losses, and I didn't cry tears of joy when we went to the national championship this past year. I must have just imagined all of that bc I mispronounced a few names. I would really like to hear your explanation on that.

  Chris Ballard isn't worse, but certainly isn't better, and here's why: Record of 54-60-1 7 total seasons 4 winning 3 losing 2 playoff appearances 1 playoff win 0 division titles Not to mention his stubbornness in free agency. However I will cut him some slack for the first two losing seasons because he didn't have Luck the first season, and Luck retired abruptly before the second season even began, and we had to settle for Jacoby Brissett.

  @freddyfox5002 By my count, I showed 5 clips of him either talking or taunting. ( 1:23, 2:08, 3:05, 3:29, and 5:56. ) I also talked about him trash talking or taunting at 2:54 and 4:45. My question is, why can't Hali run his mouth but other players can? Less accomplished guys like Lamelo Ball talk nonstop. In my opinion, I like that Indy has another star who gets under people's skin. They don't like us anyway.

  Let's also keep in mind the way the Pacers played last year (2nd in Pace, 2nd in offensive rating but 24th in Defence rating), so when you are the face of a team that is regularly scoring 140, you'll have the old heads of the game hating on you for "not playing the game the way is meant to be played"

  tbf these same criticisms of players have always existed. a lot of articles were written about how babe ruth was "callous" and "disrespectful" to the tradition of the game for his famous pointing the bat. its just easier to see on social media also pretty easy to avoid when u realize social media is terrible and pointless

  I always tend to go towards official jerseys whenever it’s possible but as a fellow Midwesterner, I always refuse to pay full retail prices for jerseys. I waited until the changeover this year to pounce on the Cubs and White Sox City Connects in the old style when they were half off. For other jerseys (*cough* Bulls 17-18 City jersey), patience has been an absolute virtue for me. But hey, it’s an ordeal that every collector goes through.
