From what I understand (so I might actually misunderstood some things), Saitama's real power is that he's constantly getting stronger every single moment. He also basically out-evolve his opponents, the stronger his opponent is, the stronger Saitama will be. In the case of not having a strong enough opponent, he will put himself as the target instead. He's basically the epitome of "there's no greater enemy than yourself" given human form. Saitama of today is strong enough to one-shot Saitama from yesterday. Saitama can also copy abilities. Saitama even copied Garou's time travel technique.

Saitama's power functions as a curse. Canonically. He just wants a good fight. But he will never get one. If he feels any emotion, anger, excitement, whatever, his power begins growing. 2x, 4x, 8x, 16x, etc. Its exponential. There's no conscious effort on Saitama's part in it. It just happens. So, if he has fun, in any fight, his power starts exponentially growing, until the fight gets boring. He literally autoscales over any opponent. Which means he will never achieve his dream. Even fighting some fused Goku-whatever abomination at Super saiyan jesus 6. On the flipside, Vegeta might just beat Saitama. One reason. As soon as he takes a serious punch, he's gonna have Cell flashbacks. Nope. F this. Ultra Ego. And Saitama wouldn't be expecting any decent attacks. He wouldn't be powered up. Geets would have a minute or two to go ham and do some real damage. Goku, though.... spends 70% of his fights talking, showing off, and hyping up his opponent. Which, in Saitama's case.... Goku ain't winning that one. But its because of his personality, not his power.

This is basically why I think Saitama VS Goku is a 50/50. Heavily debated fight but I think it could go either way depending on how fast Saitama gets stronger in their battle.

Saitama’s pristine and undamaged skin at the fights end really puts it into perspective, he received so many punches all of which stronger than any attack he’s ever received and yet not even a single damaged cell in his body from that fight, makes me believe the theory that he already is at peak strength and potential since his limiter was broken but it just takes him trying harder to output more and he doesn’t know how to until he has someone he can’t hurt with the max level he’s used at the time, it would explain how his durability has never failed him despite occasions where his punches have like how they had to build up to really rock cosmic garous shit. It’s not like saitama understands his strength anyway, so it’s not a far cry to believe he wouldn’t know that his strength doesn’t come from training anymore but from simply deciding to exert more to an infinite extent, the more I think about it the more a fan I am of this theory tbh

No, cosmic garou himself is a god level threat but the only reason garou was this strong is because he is literally saitama. This fight was just saitama vs saitama. But a replica can never be better than the original i guess.

@@tobiazs6090 it's not about the little power he got, it's just garous incompetence itself. SAITAMA just grew faster, even if he fully gained God's power, he would never outgrow SAITAMA.
