Except they were developed in ireland and the apbt was developed in America hence the name (American Pit bull Terrier) so technically this might be considered irish Pitbull Terrier since these dogs were the 1st linage of the apbt's and never once touched American soil

I attended a few Irish staff shows were “Jocko” was there, impressive lad in the 90’s. My boy Lennox was well bred and very game too, on my 3rd ISBT now and wouldn’t have any other breed 👌

All the dogs that a APT were from bloodlines of Irish dog men and English dog men that put there dogs on ships to the USA the Irish Staffordshire bull terrier and the Staffordshire bull terrier and English bull terrier are the dogs that started this hole pit bull terrier line it's because of Ireland England why the USA have this type of dog in the first place.

@Carl correct the Irish and Americans kept the tradition and preserved gameness while the kennel club of England ruined the staff for shows. But still we're good ones about just not bred to the kennel club standards

I get why people call these dogs bulldogs but they can be considered terriers just as much as bulldogs tbh 😅
