Speaking of fake speedruns, here is another ultimate fake speedrun you really need to know: The Fake WR (4:54.265) by Super Brad Gaming. Here are some reasons that the run was obviously fake: 1. He copied Niftski's 4:54.798 description 2. There are double fast accels literally EVERYWHERE. Including fast accels that don't save framerules. Double fast accels are literally never implemented on any Super Mario Bros. speedrun. 3. The entire run is FILLED TO THE BRIM with superswag and hyperswag tricks that, if Mario had bad subpixels, would have ruined the entire run. 4. World 1-2 features a swagger 347 with a turnaround that was never done in practice, even with a savestate. 5. World 4-2 was awfully impossible to do in an Any% speedrun, the backwards bumps are hyperswag to the point it barely lost any time than the 4-2 top clip, and the pipe stop, and the warp zone turnaround contains hyperswag frame-perfect button presses a human couldn't replicate. 6. World 8-2 has a walljump that was never used to show off swag tricks as the Bullet Bill flies for the BBG. 7. World 8-4: OH! MY! GOD! THIS! IS! OBVIOUSLY! FAKE! DOUBLE FAST ACCEL FROM THE START! HYPERSWAG KOSMIC'S FAVORITE WALLJUMP! HYPERSWAG TURNAROUND! PRECISE BOWSER PATTERN! 8. And worst of all, this video looks EXACTLY THE SAME as Maru's 4:54.265 No L+R TAS, and no human could replicate a TAS that was done by a master TASer that implemented hyperswag tricks that don't save time, and they were all included in a real-time speedrun, including some that were NEVER done in practice! 9. He stated in the description that this run doesn't use Lightning 4-2, but it does. If this run didn't use Lightning 4-2, then the TAS could clock in at a 4:53, which is impossible unless you are playing Super Mario Bros. Extended. (TAS: kzread.info/dash/bejne/f36brqp_mpnYYbQ.html) However, Super Mario Bros. Extended also saves an extra framerule in World 8-3 saving a total of 2 framerules than the previous world record. (Another video you can make is a video on Super Mario Bros. Extended.) Therefore, it is impossible for this run to clock in at such a low time and still not utilize lightning 4-2, and the timer in 8-4 was a 316, and he stated it was a 315. Therefore, we have reasonable evidence to prove that Super Brad Gaming really copied off Maru's TAS and claimed the WR to dethrone Niftski and leave the other legitimate speedrunners cry as their hard work of thousands, maybe millions, of attempts over several years were wasted just so one guy with little to no speedrun experience can cheat off someone else's TAS just to break the final WR and destroy the entire Super Mario Bros. speedrunning community. Worst of all, even master speedrunners have fallen into the trap thinking that run is real! So please, try to make another video describing that fake WR so we can all dislike that fake WR and prevent Super Brad Gaming from posting than run onto speedrun.com. Also, if he leaves the run on KZread, Games Done Quick will probably recruit him for a speedrun performed with a big audience to celebrate his 4:54.265, only for him to be humiliated onstage. First time I ever watched a SMB1 speed run... I thought some of this stuff. How do you get to the 4-2 warp zone without the beanstalk? Why are they bumping into the bottom of the flagpole? How are they jumping through piranha plants? It was pretty eye-opening after I watched some of these "SMB speed running explained" videos.

I didn't think I knew so much about mario until now, when I realized I knew the reasoning behind why any of this is possible.

Well, they probably some knowledge; considering how they claim that certain techniques couldn't be done in the original game. So maybe it's the perspective of someone who played the game once or twice in their youth and now thinks they know how it's meant to be played :D

You can it's fake because super mario doesn't say "wahoo" a single time in the video. Obviously cut that part out.

Just so you know, for the pipe in 4-2, if you hit the vine to go to the warp area, and then go into the pipe on a specific frame, they go to the warp area
