I was born in Dayton and raised in Kettering. This was one of my favorite places to visit. I spent some beautiful summer days wandering around and reading the markers, admiring the beautifully carved angels, the life size statues and feeding the ducks in the pond. Thanks for this reminder of days gone by.

I live in the suburbs of Dayton and people here always say “You can’t go a day without Dayton.” They say at least one thing you use every day in your life was invented in Dayton.

Thank you for featuring Paul Lawrence Dunbar!... I don't live far from his home and walking down his cobblestone street near his former home is the closest feeling to the 1800.s

I thoroughly loved this video! Though I have lived in Tennessee since 1970, I was born in Dayton, Ohio. I have many memories of my childhood in Dayton. Watching Reds baseball with my grandpa, Santa at Rike's Department Store, Phil Donahue and the Dayton Daily News.I also remember listening to WHIO and going to the Blue Note Record Store. This brought back many memories. I haven't been to Dayton since my grandpa died in 1978. He and my grandma were my all, so I haven't had a reason to go back.
