Family Stories | Sodom & Gomorrah

Ойын-сауық

So many of us have been taught that Sodom and Gomorrah was condemned for homosexuality. But, is that actually true? This Sunday we'll continue on in our Year of Bible Stories for Grown-Ups and discuss one of the most widely weaponized stories in scripture.
Sermon from Zach W. Lambert. We are here for our live online gathering every Sunday at 10am CST. If you’d like to connect with Restore, go to www.restoreaustin.org/connect.

"I said I loved her and I always will. I'm her dad. What else am I going to do?" That. Was beautiful. I think God is like that.

I'm black, pagan, and trans. I have no interest in going back to Christianity. But I am interested in what you have to preach about. There are so many striking parallels between your sermons and liberation theology that I want to keep hearing these. Please keep fighting the toxic and genocidal rhetoric of Christianity.

found this sermon thru a friend on social media ( I avoid X) and glad to find your church. Former evangelical I admit I tend to lean buddhist as an adult but I still believe in the message of Jesus. I left the evangelical church because I believed the things they were teaching were abhorent. "It's not rape if your married" and "God loves capitalism and wants us to earn as much as we can get our hands on" sermons in sunday school really drove me out and when my parents divorced and we were treated as pariahs was prob the final nail in the coffin for me. Its wonderful to see a church leader speak out against the problematic dogma that has enveloped the faith in todays times. I believe in the message even tho I no longer associate as that faith. Thank you for spreading the Good Word.

As a reparative therapy client, I can attest that it's about healing trauma. Conversion therapy is without ethics and principles, but reparative therapy has those with specific guidelines.

I like where you said that LGBTQ+ inclusion and affirmation is a matter of life and death. I think we should all ponder this, because it is, and the homophobic and transphobic Christians don't see that

Could Jude 1:7 be describing what Ezekiel meant by detestable things?

So sad that a "preacher" is leading so many down the wide path to destruction.

He certainly preaches an alternate gospel that judging by the comments here is adored by lovers of self.

May the Lord have mercy on this pastor's soul. He has a higher responsibility and is called to a higher standard as a teacher of God’s word that he is using as a weapon of destruction and leading a large amount of people away from Jesus Christ. Taking God’s word and plagiarizing it to benefit an ideology is not Christ likeness. This pastor has all emotions and NO fear of my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Lord, forgive this pastor who is blatantly blaspheming Your name.
