I have a Shunt too. I had 3 surgeries in my first month of life. Now I’m turning 31 in December and had two more surgeries as a child. I pray for Linky and I send greetings from Germany

Linky kept saying yeah, yeah, when talking about his hospital experiences and also when saying he enjoys school. It sounds like he’s starting to express his feelings. I’ve never noticed him doing that before. 😄

Lincoln is so brave having to deal with so many doctor visits, surgeries, etc... Your family and Lincoln's story have inspired me so much that I am working in the Neuro and Stroke unit at my local hospital because eventually, I want to into radiology, surgical tech or a peds nurse.

I have a shunt I got it put in at age 11 and had 18 revisions within a year. But I'm 52 now and have had no issues since 12 years old. Keep your heads up. Prayers for you all

My son is 30 he’s had so many surgeries. His shunt has failed. We have an outstanding Nuero. He’s had the same team since 14 months. He’s with a Dr that primarily does Children but his team works with us even now. The struggle is real but as with Lincoln. I wouldn’t trade him for the world. It’s still hard all these years into Epilepsy, other diagnoses that he deals with, but he’s incredibly resilient, has a full time job and has great friends. Y’all are doing a great job!

I’m glad Lincoln is okay. I had a very scary dangerous allergic reaction last week. It was my first time. Thankful that I told my mom to take me to the ER. God saved my life.

I had the same thing happen to me. I had my first shunt in 1979. It collapsed in 1980, so I had it replaced. No problems since🙏🙏🙏

I’m sorry to hear that and it’s hard on him too because nobody wants to have to go through that many anaesthetic's. Hope and pray that this will be more permanent until they have to fix the shunt when he gets bigger and older.

Glad he’s doing so much better since the very first one he had not long after you adopted him when he was very little still. Eversince Lincoln had an emergency surgery, I started to wake up every 2 am (Philippines time) just to check if something happened again, if I saw that it's fine then I'll come back to sleep 😊, but if it's not so good news like, he had to have another surgery again I had to stay awake for a while and pray, leave my worries to our Lord. I know God is always with him. He'll get through this. Thanks for keeping us updated, we appreciate it, praying for all of you guys, 😊

Me and Lincoln will make it through I’m 15 and I had 7 shunt surgery in 2 months so I definitely understand the frustration of the surgery not working!!!!

Linky has gone through a lot, but it is a blessing it all has happened while he has been under your love and care. You literally saved that little boy's life when you went to China and adopted him. And I can tell it has been a blessing both ways because he has given you so much affection and beautiful, sweet moments to remember for the rest of your lives.
