Family of Pastor’s Dead Wife Mica Miller Break Silence: 'What Else is He Hiding?'

Ойын-сауық

Mica Miller, 30, died in a North Carolina national forest. Although the medical examiner did not rule her death a homicide, her family believes there is more to the story. They’re calling for a more thorough investigation, as more details about John-Paul Miller, her estranged husband, come to light. Law&Crime’s Jesse Weber sits down with Mica’s father, Michael Miller, and sister, Sierra Francis, to discuss where the case goes from here.

My first question is, what kind of a church hires a pastor with that kind of criminal record!?!...I'm so sorry that this happened. My daughter was brutally murdered by her boyfriend 25 years ago in NC. Even though there was overwhelming evidence of foul play, the ME wrote it off as an accident. I spent 15 years trying to get her case opened back up. Due to police misconduct, it will never be opened back up. Her murderer got away with it. No charges. This has happened in many other cases as well. If this had to happen to Mica, I wish it hadn't been in NC. I wish it had been in another state. Praying for the family and justice for Mica.

I was misdiagnosed with bipolar disorder from 25 y/o to 32. I was put on lithium after the constant abuse of a narcissist ex and boss. I advocated for myself and I don't have bipolar. I have ADHD. I remember my ex was happy to take me to therapy and chug lithium and olanzapine (antipsichotic) to "make me softer and calmer" of course he wanted that, he wanted me confused and seem crazy. I remember he even convinced my mother to put me back on the bipolar meds when I started to see right through the abuse and manipulation. I almost married this man.. but like Mica, I looked for help, broke it off and did a lot of reading and self work. I AM now thriving, on the right meds and right diagnosis. It pains me to know and learn about this case because it hits SO close to home. not a lot of people (specially women) have the energy or resources to get out of that situation. Her voice on the 911 call sounding so directionless and out-of-focus compounds the possibility of this phone call being made under duress. If being coerced into calling and making a bizarre statement to 911 dispatchers, this is exactly how the resulting audio would sound--out-of-focus and directionless, like someone speaking into the wind.

Someone about to end their own life is past the crying and despair phase - they're numb and tired, sometimes happy even. The husband is a POS but that call makes a lot of sense. It's unfortunate but there's nothing here except a perfect storm - rare but it does happen. Denial is obvious to - the Dad is speaking of the 911 call but he hasn't even heard it first hand... it's tough and I wish them to know she's finally at peace but there's nothing left to do here :/

Plus, her father said it did not sound like her on 911 call. NO autopsy performed? Then he rushes to cremate her? No toxicology? Makes me sick to my stomach.

Just something to think about: why the 911 call as a way of making sure her family would find her body? Why not leave a message instead? If she was wanting them to find her, the 911 call just seems odd. It almost seems like it was a way to create a confirmation that she she took her own life It just seems off.

That county where she was found is notorious for police corruption and murder cover-up. So, why on earth, like her father said, would she travel to this state park. You know who frequented state parks-her husband! It's like someone knew that county was corrupt! Plus, like her dad says here, they couldn't believe why the police did or didn't do certain protocols in handling Mica's case. Combine that with Mica telling her sister to not believe she killed herself and she was afraid JPM would. He tracked her car, abused her, she knew of mishandling of church money...She knew too much and he was losing his control over her-who he groomed since she was 14 and he was 28 and married. It is soooooo obvious she was murdered, if not by JPM than he hired someone to!!!!
