Hey MI, great video! I follow your videos because I have the same fascination of seeing the places these tragedies took place. I have one suggestion and was hoping it might take place as this video progressed. If not from any type of overlay if you could just talk real briefly about the distances between these areas that would be great for someone such as myself. Btw, I'm from western Pa. and even in my area of small towns there are way too many areas I can point these places out. So much so that I got in trouble with an ex for pointing out a couple of them to my daughter (we watched forensics files as she grew up and she has this big still lol) on a half hour drive to my fathers for a visit. Dude, keep up the great work!

I hope you don't forget to make some exploration videos now and again. These murder videos are simply morbid and don't have the 'magic' of the explores you used to do originally... I could rewatch the highway tunnel explore or the fairground in the woods again and again, but ghoulish murder obsession... I just won't watch fullstop.

My hubby went to school with one of his kids, and was a good friend. He said it was very traumatic for the family to go through, because they wanted to believe Pennell was innocent. I used to work about 1/2 mile from the 13/40 split where he'd pick up his victims. You were driving 40 west, he did most of his "hunting" in the New Castle area, where 40 and 13 meet, that's where the prostitutes work, not on 40 west. And it's not I-40, it's Route 40.

Just for context, the cemetery one of the victims and Pennell were buried in is the north Delaware Catholic cemetery called All Saints. It's a huge place off of Kirkwood highway and most (North DE) Catholics are buried there. Also, seeing you driving the roads of New Castle, Bear, and Glasgow to explain a serial killer was a bit creepy. My next trip to Wawa (or literally anywhere) will be fun 😐. The dreaded "Cannels" we did for HS cross country hills training are even more terrifying now...

A nutcase maybe, but he knew what he was doing and wanted to do it. He appears to have had a savage temper and a deep-seated hatred of women, and for such a person, a female sex worker or a female hitchhiker is usually the victim of choice. In this case, Pennell may have killed these women as a substitute for killing his wife Vera, but that's just my opinion on the matter. 🤔

People talk about six degrees of Kevin Bacon, in North Delaware, if you were born/alive between the 70's and 80's, there are about three degrees of Steven Pennell. I have a direct connection, a second, and third degree connection. I sat on his lap when I was two when he played Santa at the Dry Goods Store (apparently I reached out to him because he was "Cauky," ie, my word for Santa at two, and he said to my Mom, "she wants me to hold her!"), an old co-worker was the lead Sgt. on the pod in the jail he was held in before trial, and an old friend/boss went to high school with his niece. Wait, also an old Priest of mine/my family tried to plead for his life after his conviction and I'm from off of Route 40. That night that my parents started pointing out all the places the bodies were dumped on the way home from a family diner out still creeps me out to this day.

IMHO murderers who are either executed or die in prison should be buried in the criminals cemetery of the prison with only a number or cremated and the ashes flushed down the toilet or dumped somewhere where people don't know. There are plenty of loons out there that will hero worship these people and its prudent to keep the murderers grave away from the public to stop it becoming some sort of sick shire. Also out of respect for the victim,. in this case the murderer is buried in the same cometary as one of his victims. How would the family members of the victim feel that their family member was in the same cemetery as the person who killed her.

I don't recall any other death sentence , being executed, (no pun intended), so swiftly, in modern times. Convicted in 91 & executed in 92. Usually it takes 15 or 20 years.

My step dad worked with this guy. I remember him telling me he thinks he killed the one girl while they were working and staying over night in a motel. Said his room was only a couple doors down.

You are correct. He did live in a trailer in Glasgow Trailer Park. I dated a girl and picked her up practically daily that lived 2 trailers over from him. I rode through there a few months back and what you showed is pretty much how they are now. Little houses with the trailers all gone.
