I'd be interested to see a movie where a family kidnaps and traps a woman in their basement for positive and wholesome plans Edit: we have discussed that '10 Cloverfield Lane' is a movie that *could* fit this new discription. 😁👍 However that doesn't mean we can't keep trying OR BETTER YET, come up with a premise that fits that discription, I'd love to read them 👌 Edit 2: we have our first original idea winner! where a young girl is kidnapped and she is raised by parents who love her either because they can't have a child or some other reason and she escapes only to find out that here biological "real" parents are abusive and don't really care about her so she goes back to her adoptive parents because she realized they actually care about her and just wanted what was best for her, they are her true parents Let's keep it going people, if you know of any other movies or have any ideas that fit the premise go ahead!

I think I've watched like half of the videos on this channel. I've got to say that the summary's have always been on point, but I'm not a big fan of the external analysis/exposition on the plot. I think this channel has done a great job so far of pointing out key facts which leave the viewer to infer the theme from the clips and summary, and would rather it stay that way. Just my two cents!

It's an interesting plot point, but there is no way that family could have gotten kuru. To get kuru you have to specifically eat the brain of someone infected with kuru. Since there has never been a documented case outside of Papua New Guinea, and since the spread stopped in the 50s or 60s when cannibalism was suppressed there, their chance of getting the disease is effectively 0.

Thank you so much for your work! I think that the psychological explanations do not add anything to the movie recap, most of the time the viewer immediately understands what this is about. The explanation/recap in the end is okay because you can simply ditch it but during the recap nahhhhh thanks again
