Dale Tamura brings in his completely restored and modded family owned '67 Pontiac GTO. Dale gives us the whole history of the car and how his Mom daily drove it back in the days with no seat belt laws sliding around in the back seat and how he brought into the modern age over the last couple years. This ride is super clean and features our 64-72 GM A-Body 9-Inch Crate Rearend!

Car looks as bad ass on video as it did in the 64-67 GTO fb group we are a part of, been drooling over this thing since 2019 or so... awesome car, this car has probably received the most publicity I have ever seen for a car not built on television... 1 bad ass A body
My 400 tri-power 4 speed was the fastest car in my town, back in74
Sire Custom in Los Angeles built my Scout II. True artists for custom high performance builds.

They did a killer job!
My dad taught me to drive when I was 13 in his '69 GTO and before I was old enough to get my license my oldest brother wrecked it. Almost 45 years later I now own a 32 option numbers matching California GTO that even has factory cornering lamps for the turn signals on the build sheet. Since mine is a numbers matching car I could never commit the crime of resto-modding it. Hopefully your mom was not the original owner or it was not numbers matching before you started this because they are only original once. If I want a resto mod GTO I would probably just get a LeMans and make a fake one.
That is one of the most beautiful GTO's I've ever seen!
Great car, great backstory and Dale is a very nice humble guy

No doubt!
My first time seeing your videos. I love the fact that you keep it straight to the point without a bunch of useless expletives and audacious superlatives. I absolutely LOVE the overhead quad shot as you go through the turn. I subscribed and will be going through all your videos. Keep up the great work!
What a killer GTO!! Everything done perfectly on this ride!! Great story too and so cool he kept it in the family!!👍👍
What an awesome episode! Jon does a great job of asking questions and keeping us engaged. Great work dude. Can’t wait for the next Currie garage episode

Nice! Yes indeed, this GTO defines restomod completely ! This could have been me ! but i sold my 67 for $1500 in 1977 and thought i had scored big on my $300 purchase price. Again, nice nice job ,perfect choices on everything 👏
This car is absolutely wild. WOW I'm 61 have a Formula 400 4 speed. Imagin modernizing this car The Formula is such a Beautifull car. I'd love to give it a new life in this modern Day to keep up with cars on the road and to play homage to it.
Wow...BEAUTIFUL!!!
Nice! All restored !
Great car Dale. Glad to finally see a burnout!! Keep up the good work!
What a great video and that Jon guy is a stud.
Such a great episode! Good job 👏
helluva a GTO. Love it, my all time favorite GTO"S 65-67 great episode
Love the car but nastalga is key. Tripower just looks and sounds so cool and a Pontiac engine. Idk I'm old lol. It's really great that you took it and did something with it. Yard ornaments are hard to watch rot away

Do it!
Sad, i would have kept it Pontiac, maybe a supercharged 421 or 455. As far as tubbing a GTO, I could never do that to mine.

Same my 69 gto 428cid 96heads with big valves is a 500hp beast.
Beautiful Goat ! Hey what color is it ! Building a 67 Chevelle myself right now and having a heck of a time picking another color than the stock Marina Blue ? Any nice Job ! 😁😎🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸

Maybe they even had Pontiac engines?
'67 Goat, and a nice restomod. I'm a purist, but understand that we're all different and like what we like. No doubt this car is easier to drive than stock, with fuel injection and suspension upgrades. My '66 Tripower was a great car, but I would have done most of the mechanical upgrades without touching the interior or exterior.

Grill on gt 😢 on back
I would keep some original parts of that. Car.
Great ride .... ALOT OF PRIDE u go my friend,, I've got a72 Monty carlo,, mr.Detroit
Gorgeous ride! I’m a purist but have made an exception in this case!
When I heard "LSA" and realized that here it didn't stand for lobe separation angle, I lost interest. It seems that notably unlike the Buick GS crowd, this happens way too often with GTO guys. Most of the charm of a vintage musclecar is making use of the original style vintage engine and drivetrain. The you really have something to be proud of .. ESPECIALLY if it is indeed an "heirloom".

What does LSA stand for with this one?
@LR-my2di

@@richardgrant418 It's a type of "LS" CHEVY engine. Sadly it's in a PONTIAC GTO.
As soon as I saw that it's an automatic, I lost all interest. Such a shame, it's beautiful.
I wonder how much money he dumped into it.

You are jealous it’s an family investment
I was disappointed to see that it was an automatic and missing three deuces!! That's not my kind of GTO!! When you're going to show what went into the RESTO, I'm sure people would like to know, as I would, the cost of everything!! It must be nice to have deep pockets like this guy!! Enjoy your modified "GOAT", as for me, I like my GTO all pure Pontiac!!
Красотка, немає слів. Слава Україні.!!!
What would y’all recommend to lower a Dodge charger 2012 one. 2 inches in the front one. 3 inches in the back? but I want a stock ride I have I eibach with strut they say is supposed to be a firm ride but it is not. It is a harsh harsh ride and 57 I want my car low with a stock ride not firm, not harsh. What would y’all recommend?
IT WAS A NICE CAR NOW A MODIFIED MESS WHAT A SHAME they called it restored its called ruined stock is where its at
It’s funny. He asks how long did it take u to restore it. He says 3 years. But he didn’t do a dam thing. U just paid others to do it. That’s not restoring a car
where is the Pontiac engine, this is a disgrace
Another butcher job.. nice but criminal imo
WOW very nice 👍

Would be "very nicer" with an original style Poncho engine.
The car is super nice but get a new front plate, it's ruining the anesthetics, otherwise sweet as hell ... 😊
Pontiacs need a Pontiac Motor. Otherwise, killer! I have the same steering wheel in my 69

Nothing wrong with the LS motors but, a real Pontiac person would never use one. I friend of mine has a non numbers matching '71 H.O. Trans Am that he upgraded suspension and a later model 4 speed electronic trans and some other stuff but, all stock interior and still running a Pontiac 455 H.O. Not as over the top as this guy did but, now my friend is afraid to park it anywhere so he is probably gong to sell it.
