My son wore sandals to church when he was a kid. Can’t argue with “Jesus wore sandals”. And a daughter cried “I have nothing to wear” while sitting on a large pile of clothes.

Agreed! I started dressing down because I literally would have family who wouldn't come if they didn't have nice enough clothes to wear. We're told to dress modestly, that means covered up and not costly.

I can barely get myself ready for something, much less get a kid ready. They say what makes comedy funny is because it has a grain of truth to it, but this has the whole bag of rice.

I don’t have kids but I relate. My grandma is the one running around going crazy and then yelling “WE ARE LATE!” When in fact we have a whole 30 minutes to spare (the church is less than 5 mins away from home!) 😩😂

The hair is so relatable... Man, that triggered an old memory! I’m the older sister that asked to change it because my younger sister asked to have hair like mine. 💀 So that morning mass quickly turned into the mid-morning mass, plus a skipped breakfast because we can’t ruin our dresses. So we were extra cranky.

100% lol. We started going to a 6:00 p.m. Mass because it was just too insane. Trying to get to the noon time or anything in the morning.

I was raised Catholic & I'm fortunate my Mom was more laid back about what I wore to regular Sunday Mass. I remember once I put on a favorite pair of jeans with holes in the knees, Mom questioned me about it but, refused to fight me on it when I told her "they're holey jeans."

Nothing beats my cousin and I deciding at 4am to throw our church clothes on, proceed to wake my mom so she'd be proud and promptly got yelled at and kicked out the room! That and the time I brought a harry potter book to read my mom's face looked like i brought a satanic bible and goat as an offering! Classic. 😂

Easy like Sunday Morning.... lol

We stopped going to church years ago for this exact reason. It was incredibly stressful. My husband and I had a heart to heart and decided that our attendance at church doesn't determine our devotion to Christ.

In the catholic church u can go to a Saturday vigil mass which fufills the Sunday obligation or just go to a later mass in Sunday. Sunday obligation is the worship God deserves and asks for. Love is sacrifice, its not always easy but its showing up even when it hard. God has to be above everything else or else, you will put everything, yourself, ur family, etc over him. A tip Ive heard that you can also have the kids sleep in the attire they are gonna wear the next day to save time. Etc.

We're never on time, but it's important to go. Do you make it to work on time? Do you make it . . . literally any other place? You can make it to church. Just don't stress trying to be early or look perfect. Don't let the devil win.

These are rookie parents. All the kids stuff can be laid out the night before. Breakfast planned ahead of time etc. diaper bag packed the night before and ready to go with snacks, water, clothes diapers. Less running around. Less yelling. Less stress.

Agree! Pregnant with our 11th, and watching this stressed me out! Spend a couple hours prepping on Saturday, and Sunday morning won't be such chaos 😍
