A fun little 30s rom com. It has some class. Not a top class production with any top name stars. But the leading lady Irene Ware could hold her own with the best of them. The rest of the cast is very good, the story lilts right along, with enough eye candy and laughs to keep it entertaining. Enjoyed it.

Predictable, but well paced, smoothly directed and nicely cast. I'm hooked on these films from the 30's preCode they are sophisticated, rough but not crude. And the film stock made the cinematographers use lighting. Fun!

Thank you for posting this video. I much prefer older movies than the ones at the first-run theater in town. Maybe it's nostalgia, maybe because I love watching old cars, scenes, and hearing old phrases that remind me of what my parents used to say. (I'm 65.) Love these old B & W's!

A girl ( Irene ware) who’s just lost her job meets a drunk millionaire (Sidney blackmer) under a bridge who’s just lost his money-they go back to his house and devise a plan-he will teach her how to be a lady and then introduce her to his rich friends so she can snag a husband and then she will pay him a finder’s fee! The ending was disappointing but good-the movie 🍿 was fine! 😊😊😊😊😊😊

I'm gaining a lot of appreciation for B&W 'B' comedy pictures these days - I looked at most of the 'A' pictures decades ago! Now that these little gems, which no one ever thought they could make any money on through dvd sales etc., are becoming available, there are a lot of nice selections we just could'n'a' seen any other way ! This one's cute, TNX 4 Posting!

I love the films of the 1930's.........sometimes they're great, other times they can be absolutely painful to watch; but I still love them. Here, we have a great idea, a perfectly sound storyline, a pretty decent production as far as film quality, lighting, and sound; but the script and dialog just reaches out to your lower mandible......and smacks it with extreme violence! LOL!!! A brilliant vocabulary is worthless, without an equally brilliant ability to deliver the message. The cream from this production, will always be Ware and Blackmer; who both enjoyed a decades long career on stage, film, and television......

These old black and white movies are such a joy to watch. Simple storylines, great actors, actresses and nice and clean without the garbage that today's movies have. Thanks for the posting. Joe S
