They filmed a lot of the sandy wasteland scenes in Namibia, on the Skeleton Coast. Apparently there is an abandoned mining town out there that the desert has begun to reclaim, and the visuals worked perfectly for the setting in this show. Thanks for the reaction.

If Max would have shot at the Yao Gui (radiated bear) in the cave, then it would have gone after him instead of the knight.

In the cave, he also didn't have a clear shot, and later he did hesitate, but then shot the bear in the eye (I think), probably because he knew hitting it anywhere else would just piss it off.

The inspirational poster for Lucy in EP1: "Don't Lose Your Head."😆 Regarding Maximus, I think a lot of people misunderstand what happened with him and Titus. Combined with the mystery with Dane's injury, people get a particular impression of his character that colours their interpretation of his actions for the rest of the series. In the space of 10 mins, his heroic 'Knight in shining armour': * Sent him ahead as bait; * Ran away and left him; * Begged desperately for help; * Blamed him for the entire situation and flat-out told him he'd be killed. The dude didn't shoot earlier because he was in shock, his whole worldview just collapsed.

Viruses like chickenpox: Since viruses are living things, wouldn't the radiation have already killed most of them? (Don't know the answer, but that seems like a reasonable assumption for head canon purposes!)

Viruses aren't alive in the traditional sense, and at any rate if larger more complicated organisms like bears and humans survived, viruses would definitely survive as well.

Tea with honey (milk optional) will do wonders for your cough, and help settle your stomach if that's troubling you. Get well soon!
