    The three main characters represent three different games. Lucy represents fallout 3, with her being a vault dweller searching for her dad. Maximus represents fallout 4, with the focus on the power armor. The ghoul represents Fallout new vegas, with his grey morality and post apocalyptic western aesthetic.

    The show is canon to the games, with the main events being set around 10 years after Fallout 4.

    Ah cool, thanks for letting me know that. I don't know about anyone else but does this instantly make you hope they set one of the next fallout games in this area, and we could maybe even bump into characters from the show? I'd love that!

    As for my builds in fallout, I've played all the main modern single player games two or three times and I try a different loadout, stat ratio and karma level/ending every time. at the moment I'm doing two big playthroughs of New Vegas, one a low intelligence build that uses unarmed and as much Dynamite as I throw who I'm role-playing as an old-timey stinky pete-esque evil prospector😅 I'm also attempting my first pacifist run on hardcore mode. The rules are I can't kill anything with human-like intelligence unless they are the leader of a faction which gives that faction a unique ending saying how they were wiped out in the end slides. As you can imagine that playthrough is f***ing slow going so it's good to have the comedy playthrough I've got on easy mode to go back to 😁

    Hahah nice choices, I love all the different playstyles people use through the games. I'm kinda stuck in my ways and boring, I never variate. As soon as any new Bethesda game or any other game with that freedom comes out, I instantly figure out how to be the sneakiest silentest little prick that game world has ever seen 🤣

    The show has shown theres a change in power structure for the Brotherhood of Steel, since for a long time their main power base was in the west coast like california. The east coast brotherhoods in fallout 3 and 4 were mainly expeditions. The fact that the west coast bortherhood is taking orders from the east coast is very intriguing. Its also of note that if the ship is really the prydwyn, then the fallout 4 endings that would be canon would be either the brotherhood or minutemen endings since theyre the only ones where that ship remains intact.

    Huge fan of the Fallout games, very similar background to you in that I never played the first two and FO3 was my introduction. Been playing every one ever since. Hell, FO4 is the entire reason I upgraded to a PS4 when it was first released. I was likewise apprehensive, despite thinking a Fallout show had a ton of potential, but as soon as I saw Walton Goggins was cast in the series that all lifted pretty much immediately because that dude elevates everything. And then the show just completely surpassed my expectations. The people making it clearly love the franchise and absolutely NAILED the tone and aesthetics.

    Ohh man. BA and Fallout. I've been blessed today! Awesome to hear you are a big Fallout fan too; as am I as well. The original Fallout is a pretty good game once you get used to the style of it; I'd recommend it sometime if you're ever bored and looking for a short but fun game. Cast in insanely good in this show. There is a lot of great cameos as well so you've got that to look forward to. Dart gun in game is actually quite good; iirc there is a way to make it always cripple the legs of anything you hit. It can't kill stuff but it could slow a charging deathclaw to a snail's pace.

I've previously posted a few gaming videos in the past. A no save no death Hardcore mode run on the resident Evil 2 remake, and a no death completion of Sifu!

    My favourite game adaptation so far, I 'm at episode 4, because I'm watching it with my youngest. Bethesda was involved with the show, so that already was a good signn, but I think it's really more than you could hope for, a game really brought to life in a tv show. I have yet to find anything I didn't like.

  • @BAReactions

    @BAReactions

    Agreed. I was just more apprehensive I think, almost expecting it to be bad when I reacted to the first few episodes. Then there was a moment when I realised I was in good hands, and it's just all been an upward trajectory from there.

    Nice. Subbed for the wire reacts, but I really liked this -- fan of 3, NV, and...kinda 4 (settlement management is kinda annoying imo but it's all good). Once you do the season, I'd be interested to know where you think the three main characters are in terms of stat distrubution. I think you'll really like this!

  • @BAReactions

    @BAReactions

    Hahah that's a nice concept about the stat distribution, have other channels already done that idea yet or would it be a unique video? I'd never want to do any video with a similar theme which has already been done. I already feel like a plagiarist even having a reaction channel because other people came up with the idea before me lol.

    @@BAReactions Not something dedicated, really. Most reacts seem split between fan/non fan. I have seen what level lucy would be as a video, but it didn't go into Max and The Ghoul, let alone what perks, or specific S.P.E.C.I.A.L stat distribution looks like. I think most of gaming youtube was kinda happy the show had appeal, but didn't really interact with it as much as I was imagining. It's more so taken off as a show uniquely, so idk. It's a kinda grey area. Thoughts like these are why I don't make vids lol.

    Kyle Maclachlan plays Hank compared this series to something in David Lynch's style, and while it's not super Lynchian in my opinion, there is a lot of strange imagery and mystery involved. (Even though this is based off of a video game so its not super comparable 😂) I would definitely recommend checking out Twin Peaks if you're interested, it inspired many shows like Fargo, Lost and Stranger Things. Lynch talk aside (I am a fan if you haven't caught on😂) I have not played any Fallout games, but this show definitely got me interested!!

    In my newest playthrough I've actually been using the Ultimatum. It's from the Tunnel Snakes Rules DLC, is an OG game 10mm, and also does radiation damage. It's a death machine but I still prefer the look of the deliverer.

  • @silverbladeTE
    @silverbladeTEАй бұрын

    "Prompt Radiation" from a nuke has a much shorter range than the blast/heat effects so they'd not take lethal dose that far away, not good for cancer risks long term but far enough away it's not deadly Exception is with actual "Mini nukes" like the "Davie Crockett" device (which the "Fatman" weapon in Fallout is based on!), their radiation range IS greater than their small blast radius, about 500 to 1000 metres lethal radiation for those, where as blast is about 300 to 600 metres. ☢ You couldn't actually use a Fatman launcher in real life because of that problem!

  • @silverbladeTE

    @silverbladeTE

    In Fallout, since they lacked as much advanced computer etch etc that we do, and other reasons, they dropped a HUGE number of mostly "small" nukes, 25 to 700 kilotons, very few huge megaton "city killers" were ever used (one caused the "Glowing Sea" in Fallout 4 as it was aimed at the Sentinel site, and was about 10 megatons). They "ground burst" most of them, to cause huge fallout, physical destruction that couldn't be easily repaired (giant craters), and it's actually much more efficient and destructive to use many small than 1 huge weapon (same reason they use "cluster bombs" in real life) Huge nukes waste most of their energy as it's blown up into space and it's pointless waste to to vaporize huge are rather than just shave the area flat! All that, and the huge number of nuke powered vehicles, factories, the waste etc, made fallout far worse than it would be in real life. Fallout actually decays very fast, usually 95% gone in 1 month, except if nuclear reactors get hit, which is another topic entirely
