Its honestly baffling that you get given the 1st recon beret so early on in the game for minimal effort. It makes the other head gear pointless. It should have been given only after doing Boone's second companion quest.

I agree. A lot depends on your build, but many cool helmets and hats are useless to you if you're making a crit build. It's really easy to crank your crit chance, say, up to 40% if you've designed your build to use laser weaponry.

Best incidental housing with Atomic!, Travel Light, etc to reduce fast travel time elapsed (h2o, food, sleep meter build up) is Mesquite Mountains Crater. Coyote meat from the respawning group by the Divide entrance provides said constant rad effect to trigger Atomic! anywhere.

My favourite character to this day wore the Ranger red scarf outfit, ranger grey hat, and authority glasses. Lucky and medecine stick were the guns

Wanna know something neat? The riot gear helmets in lonesome road for some reason can be worn with different hats, including the 1st recon beret, so you can combine it with the elite riot gear and helmet and get a +10 crit chance, +3 perception +10 guns, +5 speech, +1 charisma and sneak sight which is incredibly powerful, the only downside is that it isn’t light armour, it’s my favourite set up in the game unless I’m doing a melee or unarmed build in which case I’ll probably switch.

Regular glasses don't give you any percpetion without Four Eyes.

Once I hit Novac, the 1st Recon Beret goes on my head and usually doesn't come off. I might switch it for one of the riot gear helmets while I'm going through Lonesome Road, because defense is so important in The Divide, but once I'm back in the main game I swap back.

Actually you can wear the LR riot gear helmet and beret at the same time with only some horrendous clipping

Four-eyed is unavoidable if you want to make not almost, but perfect character. I strongly urge anyone who got bored with New Vegas to try to make such character, it's a really nice challenge for you as a build designer.

I am really happy I found this! ❤ I will be honest tho, I was hoping for style to be equally weighed against the stats. I don't pick four eyes for optimizing, but for roleplay, and after a while the game gets so easy, why sweat such a minor penalty?

Player home tier list, or maybe lists (one for official homes that give you an owned bed, and one for unofficial homes that just have some storage that won't despawn your items and maybe an unowned bed).

For me I could always grab the enclave officer cap off of Judah at the battle of Hoover dam if he died

its pretty easy to get up to liked with legion, get the shades, and then backstab them, if you really don't feel like doing any of their quests you can pickpocket dog tags off of ncr and turn them in for a ton of reputation. (only saying this because i can't cheat them in)

Make pretend that you use Explosive to breach the safe house door I always use 10 frag mines and a frag grenade, surely that is enough to blew a door in

1st recon beret is the reward you get for the one for my baby quest he gives his actual beret to put on the person (jeanie mae i believe is her name any way the actual hotel owner is the real culprit... or whoever you choose) who sold his pregnant to the legion so he can take em out.... sry for the long explanation I tend to over summarize or whatever

Generic glasses without Four Eyes offer no bonus. You only get +2 perception with Four Eyes because the trait gives you -1 without glasses. Do you het a net +1, only with Four Eyes 👀👀
