Just started playing 3 weeks ago, the videos have helped give me a general idea of character builds. Almost every other video I could find was just how to build a bloody commando which is not my taste.

I've got a bloodied faster speed gatling laser just collecting dust in my vending machine. Now that turtle made a video about it someone will buy it finally, yay!

Been waiting for this video for a while now 😅 Our builds are almost identical except: I opted out from using power user and went for max gun Fu and concentrated fire as I now daily a plasma caster. Only other difference is GRS instead of curator as I only tend to pop magazines and bobbles for bosses. Such a fun build ❤. Gives all those vats commandos a run for their money. Edit: also opted for follow through and toftt with 20 legendary special. And revenant for when im feeling extra spicy

I find that if you use vats, calibrated reciever is better overall for the +100%crit damage it gives and with grim reapers sprint you often dont need much coffee for regular adds. Bosses I would switch to bloody mess though as grs only applies on kills.

@@XeroJin84 trick is to reload with low ammo number as it stores the reloaded cores with the reduced ammo number that can be recharged later if using non ultracite cores I was wondering why some of my core guns ammo counts was so low because I always reload in fights for a full ammo count but this leaves you with a ton of lower ammo count cores in your inventory and you will use those after all 100% cores are used. I have regular core plasma gatling and a ultracite laser gatling gun.

Angry Turtle I have a gatling plasma and ultracite laser gatling gun so thanks so much for the build info, the perks, and food and drinks to boost my DPS for boss fights. I use a fixer and Pyro for regular enemies and the heavies for bosses.

Hi turtle, cool build, im starting to accumulate the gear to run this, would you happen to know which roll would have better dps, 50c25 or 2525 regarding the aa gatling plasma? Also would the 50c25 require less coffees to sustain the continuous crits? Thanks

It never occurred to me to use heavy guns for vats. Hopped on and used my shotgunner character. It had what I needed for vats + heavy guns + no PA. I tried Gatling gun + vats and was so fun! I actually rolled a AAVatsEnhanced+CritMtr Gatling gun and slapped on the prime receiver. Coffee and/or grim reapers sprint = maniacal laughter.

Just a friendly reminder, you can take master infiltrator off and use R5 adrenaline for bosses via the agility legendary perk

Do you have to have a specific number of HP? Like 60 or something, in order for born survivor and nerd rage to work? In 90% of the time, nerd rage is active (me being under 20% hp), but born survivor doesnt activate upon damage. :( Am I doing something wrong?

I’ve been using a slight variance of this build specifically as a sbq boss killer. My Gatling plasma is Zealot, limb crit (awesome to get her to land), 25ap. It’s been lots of fun and mega effective

Hey turtle, important question, how did you get ansolutely no rads at 18:37 when the queen was hitting you? Despite taking several hits of 50 rads, fhe red bar didnt increase at all? How can i do that? Radiation always seems to be the bane of my bloody builds and its getting really tiresome. I would greatly appreciate the help

How is energy resistance vs. balistic resistance at enemies, found they usually has less energy resistance and could explain efficiency on energy guns.

Hey again Turtle. I've been tweaking my version of this build over the past month or so and I have some questions for you. First, do Revenant and Follow Through stack? After a bit of reading, they should. I just want to confirm. Second. Do TOFTT and Tenderizer stack? The reason im asking this one is because supposedly you can only have 1 enemy debuff active at a time. And third. Are there any weird interactions between all of these buffs/debuffs if used at the same time? Thanks again in advance for taking the time to read/reply. Much appreciated 😊

I don’t really see how that could be true because an armor and tenderizer for instance are both enemy deep offs and I guarantee they both work at the same time

Good build turtle I might actually try it. I’ve stayed away from bills like this or pretty much any bill that uses a bunch of ammo just because up until recently ammo was always a problem you had to make it and I don’t. I’m too lazy together all the resources and and but nowadays you know with daily or or expeditions I mean, if you have core weapon in your hand when you end any of them like the expeditions Atlantic City giving you four fusion course I assume if you have plasma in your hand is gonna give you four plasma. I guess what I’m saying is it’s no longer harder expensive to craft ammo for these wet. You know to get ammo for these weapons because there’s so many sources and fusion core are everywhere I mean in the last couple of weeks I think I’ve sold at least 30 fusion core fully charged 50 each that I just pick up and charge and throw on the vendor. I mean I keep getting like 20 or 30 in my backpack and I just throw on the vendor for 50 cats each. I mean, they’re everywhere with the charging thing you just grab cords wherever you see them throw them in the charger.

Finally have a full uny set of armor 😎 I'm about to see how it performs with my blooded stealth commando build

Power armor could use some exclusive weapons, maybe turn a trencher into a chainsaw / gas can molotov/ modified tank or apc cannon / etc.

I would like to see a build video of what you would consider strongest all around with minimal investment (no legendary perk, no food or chem buffs). I’m 570 and this type of build still interests me the most. Making a powerful build that requires minimalistic setup.

Great video! I have a question if you happen to see this. Do you know if Born Survivor has a glitch? I mostly play on Xbox and I can’t really run Born Survivor with a bloodied build because it will literally go off every 20 seconds, even if I’m at max health(minus radiation of course). Is this normal? Am I doing something wrong?

When it comes to power armor I'm uncertain about which is better defense wise. Over eaters vs bolstering. I haven't acquired a full set of OE for testing yet. What are the thoughts?

Damage reduction always outperforms damage resistance on PA. Bolstering and other damage resistance legendaries (vanguard, nocturnal, mutants, aristocrats) are simply useless compared to overeaters.

If built for vats crit, wouldnt calibrated reciever for the extra 100% crit damage be better than prime reciever overall. Also found a bloodied, 50crit, 25vats gatling laser for 1000caps. I switch to grim reapers sprint instead of bloodied mess for regular adds and can still vats this way much of the time without coffee. I do use infused soot flower tea for the extra 40 ap to get to 240 which helps.

I compared those two against lvl 100 mutants. Basically a B2525 UGL with prime did 334 headshot hits / 716 headshot crits for a total of 1050 damage calibrated 284 headshot hits / 757 headshot crits for a total of 1041 damage At this point whatever suits you best. I suggest use a ffr variant of gatling laser if you use charging barrels, because that increases the rof from 30 to 60, while a 50crit havent got that much impact on your overall damage output.

@@csabakiss2644 I would have preferred faster fire rate but for 1000 caps I couldn't pass it up for the time being. For now it's a fun experiment as I generally use plasma caster as I can crit bosses for over 2000 damage and nothing besides crit stealth commando is better which I eventually got bored of. Also I need much less coffee with the caster. Im curious are you applying this when you crit every other shot. With nuka dark and turtles build you can get over 33 luck and will crit every second shot. Otherwise you need 23 luck and 15crit charge on weapon to do the same.

@@dustigin I did test it a few days ago, so its up to date. Prime was definetly a better choice when it was mulitplicative, but now id rather go with calibrated. On the otherhand, prime receiver on Laser Rifle seems multiplicative still. I did a similar compare and Prime did higher hit and crits than Calibrated one.

I run something similar only full health and only 5 points added to my special by legendary perks. I would run more but on playstation I don't have union power armor , so I run funky duds , what rads, taking one for the team , electric absorption, and sizzling style. And a full set of overeaters which with the slices of cake and purified water hardly having any weight and low spoil rate of cake I don't seem to need through hiker or good with salt . And I try to get breaks 50 % slower as a 3rd star with gunsmith seems to help alot . I run junkies also . I rarely die . I just can't do bloodied lol. But that is the basic perks and no room for extra quality of life perks I don't run class freak as I pay very close attention to what mutations I take and with herd mentality I don't see really bad negative numbers . But I do use both plasma and laser they don't seem to break as often as they used too .

Hey Turtle, what's your opinion on utility weapons? You never cover utility type weapons, only DPS weapons. I use a Vampire's Rapid (25ffr) VATS Enhanced (25lvc) Ult Laser with the Severe Beta, and Beam Splitter with Tormentor and Friendly Fire. With these things in mind, and using it as a Commando, you can get 10 shots off per second. Those 10 shots per second become 50 hits per second, and those 50 hits heals 2% HP over 2 seconds each, or 100% of MAX HP. On top of that, if you don't want the healing for yourself, you can make Friendly Fire and Tormentor stronger by going with Two Shot instead. Two Shot with the Beam Splitter is especially good with Tormentor, as the high amount of hits per second (hits not shots, as hits are higher) that 15% cripple chance is applied to each hit. 15% chance ×50 hits per second = ~ 7.5 limbs Crippled per second. With 135 hits per clip that's ~20.25 limbs Crippled per limb at best. Cripples SBQ instantly and heals NPCs at events instantly to full, same as the other, but won't heal you and will do slightly more damage than the Vampire's. I've seen the Peppershaker be popular for the same reason, but nobody talks about this great utility weapon for Commando builds. I run QE25 Railway, Aa2525 EPR aligned Auto, TsE25 Fixer + Handmade, Q2525Tesla, and V2525 Ult laser. The Railway and Epr For bosses, the Fixer and handmade for stealth, and the Tesla and ult laser for events/utility. I have a really great and consistent DPS build for this if you'd like.

This is a good build, because they made the game easy to play- With perception at 2? The game used to be very very dark at night- then some idiots screwed with it.

Doesn’t Herd Mentality require you to stay near your team? Or can you use it no matter where you are, as long as you are in a team?

The cores are less of a concern than the Nuka Darks this man goes through to power bossfights.

I love this build! The only reason I don’t run a full damage heavy gunner is because I can’t live without grenades and explosive heavy weapons (demo expert, grenadier and explosive ammo weight mitigation). Are there any energy based alternatives for decent big area damage? Are plasma grenades considered explosives rather than”energy ammo”? Ty for your hard work Turtle!!!!

snowballs give a slight AOE explosion effect. pair that with the Two Shot effect and you get 4x hits per round. i have a TSFFR25v cryo.

300 perk points are needed to max each card, 50 for first upgrade 100 for the second and 150 for the third.

If you power armor user just use holy fire for literally every single enemy except event bosses that will waste all valuable fuel.

If you can make cutting fluid fuel isnt an issue. Just make as many water coolers in your camp or have a water farm for purified water and every time you go to camp make cutting fluid and scrap for oil. Bones are everywhere so that shouldnt be a problem

Hello Angry Turtel, can you show a build without power armor and without so much buffs with nuka and that stuff? I’m at lvl 155, and i don’t have so good gear and weapons. Even i don’t have much skill points in the legendariy skills:/ I’m looking for a tanky maybe bloody build with heavy weapons. If you have one with full health it is also ok. Maybe you can do a video or maybe someone will post a link with a build wich is even working.

This is a month old so maybe you already know it, but just in case. When you finish some events or expeditions you are rewarded ammo based on your current weapon. At the end of Tax Evasion for example you get 4 fusion cores if you have a Gatling gun equipped.

Plasma caster is still the best heavy gun imo.

Agree. I have an instigating with improved vats damage and feather weight. I wouldn't swap it. It complements Holy Fire really well for sheepsquatch robot fighting.

But that makes sense, thanks for the reply! Hex barrel is great though. I like it a lot. I've never felt like I wasn't crippling enough with it.

I got so many god rolls but gatling gun makes game way to easy ......even more than 50 cal ...i recommend gatling gun to everyone. Backup to holy fire for range

science perks don't work with heavy guns. And yes, you would be doing much less damage without stabilized. It's one of the most important perks in this build

When legacies were removed, my desire to use heavy laser weapons went with them. Railway rifles are my best friends now.

You leave out , like most, you r level. You’re such a high level that I can’t even make it out. That build wouldn’t do that damage at level 300.
